Hi all, I have some questions that came up while filling out my I-129F Form. I've listed them all out below:

  1. I was arrested while protesting, and while I was in jail overnight, all charges were dropped before my court date and so I didn’t even have one. I can’t find any record of my arrest online and was wondering how to go about navigating this issue. Do I have to submit evidence? My charge was for being a public nuisance. Would I then also need a waiver?
  2. Under my employment history, can I put “present” for my current occupation’s employment end date section? If not, what should I write?
  3. I am asked to write all the US states and foreign countries that I’ve resided in. Do they mean that I’ve been a resident of, or just temporarily lived in? Would I then write down the state where I had a summer internship once, and the country wherein I studied abroad?
  4. There is a section to write my fiancé’s name and address in his native language, which would be Arabic. However, he is residing in Turkey, and his address would therefore be in the Turkish alphabet, not in Arabic. Does this mean that I would write his name using the Arabic script, and his address in the Turkish alphabet, or both his name and city Turkish or Arabic script?

Any help with these would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

1. Report the arrest, provide all the documentation you can obtain on the arrest and outcome
2. I think that would be ok, but I am not sure

3. Temporarily living is residing.  I would include them

4. Write it the language the postal service of that country would be likely to understand.

I agree, the question is a bit confusing.  They want the address in the local language of where the address is located, not his native language.

If I can't find any documentation, should I attempt going to the police station? I don't think there's any evidence of an outcome, however, as I was just told by my lawyer that the case was dropped and there was no need to show up to court.

And thanks!!
