Don't worry please it's just politics.

I'm sure it will change back to normal quickly. I think this is like a way to stop refugees without banning Turkey officially because of the "good" relations "!?!"

Try to think it positive (as I'm trying to) they didn't stop all visa types. So your k1 won't be affected at the moment. Please be strong!

I'm Turkish and me and my fiancé was going to go to Turkey for a pre-wedding celebrations with my family. But I'm trying to hope for the best that it will change back quick...

although well both countries have some stubborn heads right now.... politics is kinda like a child's play....

I keep asking why world politics is so against my relationship, haha. We were so in disbelief that they actually suspended all non-immigrant visas, it's so unbelievable. I'm sure it will be changed soon enough, but since I already qualify for Mexican citizenship by birth, we're just doing everything in our power to still see each other.

K1 isn't affected by this, but the travel ban is! I feel like at this point the possibility of him still coming here is so drastically low, I'm just hoping against hope. But thank you so much for your kind words, they were desperately needed right now.

I sincerely hope the state of this situation changes soon, too, for you as well. You're right, we should just hold our heads up high and stay strong!

@John & Rose here is what I came up with, as to where should be our "light at the end of the tunnel" ....

In May I weeded out approvals, rejections, withdrawals, and transfers out of CA, so this is what they have remaining to be done:

3561 cases untouched

138 cases updated (decision mailed included, I am not sure what that is, but only 5 of those)

144 cases with requests for evidence they are coming back to do

---------------------------------------------------------

3843 Total cases to be done

Yesterday / Tuesday they handled 180 cases total (approvals & RFI)

Hence, if they continue putting up yesterdays numbers, they need little under 22 days to close all of those cases out. This month has 15 working days left, so May would spill over into first 7 business days in November. That would make November 10th the first day June 1st files would be touched. To add to that, I see that they have a steady 5 day gap in random cases worked on, so June 1st crowd could even see some light action on Friday November 3rd. That would keep us in that 150-160 day range as I mentioned above.

I hope you can sack this Goliath soon @John & Rose, so all June members can somewhat approximate their time frame (chances, as it is a guess).

I expect we will start to hear from late in the first week of November judging by what I can see on the May forum. Many early May filers are being approved now.

i was posting in the May forum but I realised as my file was received on June 6th I should be posting here..

Hi,

I just followed your timeline as we seem to be at the same received date then! June 6th. However, VJ goes by NOA1 notice date, not received. Would be great if you could update your timeline with your notice date so that we keep all numbers straight :)

Don't ask me why... there was a whole convo in the April or May thread as to why and why not change it. Guess that would mess up all past data.....

Has anyone been locked out of the USCIS case tracker website?

I just got locked out while I was searching through cases because it said I had a higher amount of activity.

I'm not able to look at my account either.😐

Hey everyone, I am starting a new job in two weeks- should I be super proactive in updating my K1 as it waits to be processed ? How would I do this? I don't want a RFE for this .... and it's going to help me meet the 25% over minimum standards income I'll need to prove at time of interview.  Any suggestions or info please let me know.

God bless,

With Grace,

Not sure if this is the appropriate place to pose this question, but I feel like our little forum here is like my home away from home and you guys are my family. :P

We're currently preparing everything we can, and know to, that will be needed for the upcoming steps, including my fiancé's interview with the Consulate in Stockholm. On my end, my biggest responsibility right now is all the paperwork and documents regarding financial support, such as the Affidavit of Support, bank statements, etc. I also read a lot about people using employment letters. I looked into that for my specific company that I work for, which apparently has a process in place for this exact thing, specifically for immigration purposes for both US citizens and expats. Anyway - it looks like there is a third party company that is used my by employer for verifiers to verify and obtain necessary information regarding a team member's employment and income, and I'm to print off specific instructions and provide to the employer with a verification code specific to me for them to request the information (I believe they can do so online, by phone, or by mail, according to the instructions I'm supposed to print off).

Is anyone familiar with this particular route? Have you used this, or have any clue as to whether or not this would be sufficient? Since it apparently verifies both my income and my employment history here (this isn't a new company for me, I have tenure), would other documents such as bank statements or pay stubs be warranted in addition to?

Håll ut, y'all.

All of your posts today have made me realize why people look at intended immigrants with the side eye.

For the record. I'm also going to try very hard here not to dislike a complete stranger based on the fact that they so clearly dislike my country so much (which I can't help but ask - if you hate America so much, why are you involved in a process to either relocate here, or relocate someone else here?), and based on their incredibly discriminative perspective on the Philippines and Filipinos. (BTW, my fiancé is biologically Filipino and is where his parents were born, and visit quite often because contrary to your ridiculous outlook on the country, a lot of it is quite beautiful and worth seeing. I personally look forward to my first vacation there with my future husband.)

To everyone else, have a great day and keep the faith! XO

They are not in the process.  They are just trying to cause trouble.  The ignore button is great.  I don't see a thing that this person(?) posts.

EVERYONE I've met here, no matter where they are from, have been excellent and always polite.  We have had disagreements but we are a family.  Never have I seen any personal attacks until today.  I thank you all for this place. It does prove that we are more alike than different.
