Got your point. My fiance (American) is not aware I joined VJ. I need to ask his permission first before I could put all the details. Before, I asked him if I could join such group but he said it's ok but not necessarily to put all details. My only intention here is to get more ideas especially about requirements and preparations needed for interview. I just shared to him what I read. In the end, he would just tell me "Let God work for this and uscis and let's just wait."

Sounds like he has a lot more patience than the rest of us then :)

No pressure at all, it's just good to encourage everyone where we can so that we can all help future applicants. My fiancé hates social media so I get it completely that not everyone likes to share everything.

It is now official.  We are at the 4 month point in our wait.  The original estimate was a Sept 6 NOA2. Today it is Nov 6.  That is exactly a two month delay in 4 months.  If the numbers stay true we should anticipate the NOA 2 around Nov 21.  If it goes later it will be early December due to Thanksgiving.  So I anticipate that we will all be comfortably in the 180 day range within a month and who knows where it goes from there.

/rant

Yeah, I was holding on to my 152 day estimage +/- 3. I really need do another run this weekend to see, but it is not looking good with the large quantity of them taking close to 160 days. I guess their stated SLA is 180 days, so they don't care if it slides to that.

I really thought we would have hit the peak by now and start getting shorter given the historical trends. Clearly we are in uncharted territories and when you are as far down on the priority list as K1 petitions are, hard to know how you are going to get bumped around.

And I heard rumors recently but other petition types becoming priority after the recent natural devastation, so I'm wondering if that is/will be affecting our timelines. :(

MEEE TOOO.  People who got engaged after us are close to their weddings, or have already had them, and as happy as I try to be for people, I can't help but internally scream over it.

As much as I want to do that too, I'm scared off by some of the people here who really set unreachable dates for their weddings.  I believe I saw one Sept filer who was planning a December wedding!!!!

I know people are just excited, and likely unaware of the reality of how time consuming this is....but even before we educated ourselves on this, or even began the process, we knew we were making no wedding plans, particularly that cost money, before we had this behind us. We couldn't afford to lose money on that, on top of the money it takes to get through this to begin with. Before we embarked on this, though, to be fair, we had NO idea the length of time. I remember reading about estimates of 3-7 months total for the ENTIRE process - not just to get an NOA2. Some people may have those same expectations coming into it before realizing what it's really like, at least right now.

I was one that completely believed that Rose and the kids would have their first White Christmas in Chicago this year.  With the anticipated September 6 NOA2 Christmas was within reach...for about a week when the dates started slipping.  Now I have no deadlines.  I just want us together.  We will make all the arrangements after we are together.  It sucks but it is the reality now.

Same here - once upon a time, we were bold enough to believe we'd be married in 2017. It's completely NOT the end of the world...but was hard to come to terms with when we realized that would likely not happen.

I started the process when I did because my family found out my brother was deploying to the Middle East. My hope was to have everything squared away as soon as possible. My fiance and I were going to wait until we were officially engaged to start the process. If we would have done that, we wouldn't have filed until the end of August. I am so happy we submitted when we did. We are going to wait on my brother to return from his deployment (3 month deployment) to get married. However, I am graduating with my masters degree in December and realllyyyyyyyyy wanted my fiance here for that. I HIGHLY doubt he will be here before then or even before Christmas. It's pretty disappointing to know that the process has slowed down so much in the last 5 months.

I still find sites with great K1 information that were put up in 2014 and 2015 that say things like "You'll have your NOA2 in 60-75 days, here is what comes next..." It is hard not to be frustrated. Frankly, the writing was on the wall on November 8th, 2016. Guess none of us really thought it through and relied on historical data--at least that is true for me.

Do you have to do your interview and medical at your countries embassy? Im thinking of using esta and then just doing the interview and medical in the states. I hate this distance!! It's driving me insane, I want to be with him. We initially planned for me to go in Feb but it seems so far away now. Could it still be another 3 months before esta expires? We are on day 116 now.

You can do your medical and interview in other country than your native one if you are working or living there and you ask for a transfer.

You can NEVER have your medical and interview in the States.

I had dreams that we receive NOA2 last week of October.... hahaha... that's the result of overthinking and depression... hehehe.. but i am still optimistic to have it this month or early November. May my dreams come true. 😚

I want all you May and June filers to get approved ASAP, so that I, a July filer, can get a visa for my fiancée ASAP!!

A May 2nd 2017 case just got approved, so hopefully we hear soon!

Actually, not really good news. They have been working May 1 and 2 for over a week. That math is not good! It means that it takes them 5-7 days to work two days worth of petitions. At that rate our timelines will hit 180 days. :(

What does November 8th have to do with it?
