It is now official.  We are at the 4 month point in our wait.  The original estimate was a Sept 6 NOA2. Today it is Nov 6.  That is exactly a two month delay in 4 months.  If the numbers stay true we should anticipate the NOA 2 around Nov 21.  If it goes later it will be early December due to Thanksgiving.  So I anticipate that we will all be comfortably in the 180 day range within a month and who knows where it goes from there.

I think I am in denial. I am still hoping for NOA2 by the end of the month or beginning of November. Wishful thinking, eh?!

No.  I am usually wrong so I was hoping that my rant would prove that!  By complaining it will take so long I will hopefully get us all of our NOA2s this month!  Reverse psychology!!!

As much as I want to do that too, I'm scared off by some of the people here who really set unreachable dates for their weddings.  I believe I saw one Sept filer who was planning a December wedding!!!!

Whoa! I know there are several June filers that planned December weddings and that did seem reasonable when we filed if you looked at the data from the last 3 years.

And we were one of them - as I have 2 Swiss friends who got married in Wyoming and Atlanta in the past 16 months, and both of the had 3 months for the entire package from day 1 till moving date.... and yes - I'm talking K1....

So I also believed in handling everything until Xmas... little did I know that this is so out of control - although the fee got higher and you would think it's invested in more employees to have this process speed up a little :( just simply frustrating

N-400: 12/05/2023 (confirmed fingerprints are re-used)

Interview scheduled for: 05/09/2024

I was one that completely believed that Rose and the kids would have their first White Christmas in Chicago this year.  With the anticipated September 6 NOA2 Christmas was within reach...for about a week when the dates started slipping.  Now I have no deadlines.  I just want us together.  We will make all the arrangements after we are together.  It sucks but it is the reality now.

Yes.  Welcome to the Federal Government.  Pay more and get less service.  We will all get through this.  I feel bad for the September and October filers.  It is almost 6 months now.  Pretty soon the CR visas will be a better value and much quicker!

YES!!!  I commend you on how you are handling this very stressful situation.  Sometimes just having that right partner by your side makes the stress diminish.  It never goes away but we all need to realize that this is our life.  We have a short time on Earth and we all deserve to do what we have to do to find true happiness.  I was married for 18 years after a 6 year engagement.  I have never felt love or comfort like I have with Rose and that happened rather quickly.  Now with 5 trips under my belt there is no doubt that we were always destined to be together...all 4 of us.  If I die tomorrow, I will die knowing true love and that would not have happened if it weren't for Rose, AJ and Aira.

It is stressful but the end will justify the means.  I will wait as long as I have to.  In the end we will be together and that is all that really matters in this crazy world!

Well said - Absolutely! The thought of not pushing ahead with all of this and not being with Paul gives me more anxiety than immigration does, lol. It's all temporary, and that's what we tell ourselves every day.

Håll ut, y'all.

I was more optimistic than you! We thought early Sept NOA2, then 70 days after that to get here, so we would probably be together for a major event we wanted to attend the weekend before Thanksgiving. I was not AT ALL concerned with Christmas--after reviewing the data for the last 3 years, Christmas was a "no brainer"--no chance that was at risk. HA! What a fool I was!
