Question on police certificates.......... if the only other country the beneficiary has lived in since age 16 was the U.S., do they need to get documents from there also just like they would any other country? He's only lived in Sweden and Seattle, WA, since age 16, and he has his translated documents from Sweden. Wondering if he still has to get them from Seattle/the U.S.

He doesn't. He only has to have them for countries other than the US.

Hi all.. anyone had a medical? Does anyone know what they check or what's bad or anything?

I think medical requires NVC number. They said they will check for blood, x-ray, some immunization and physical examination that includes checking scars especially on the arms and some vaccines.

I am worried also about police certificate. What I knew was that, residing for a country for 6 months and over must secure PC. But when I searched the website of the uscis under Myanmar embassy, it states there "Police certificate are also required from all other countries where you have resided for over one year." And my worry is, I stayed at Indonesia for 9 months.

I guess, we have to check the requirements of US Consular on where we are going to process the visa.

I've made lists of things my fiancé and I can accomplish while we are waiting on NOA2. He has scheduled his CFO seminar for September 22 and has requested NBI clearance, CENOMAR, and has written consent/advice from his parents (we are both 24). I had no idea this was a requirement for the Phils!

I've begun the paperwork for I-134 and started compiling the supporting documents.

There is so much to do!!

quick question..

NBI clearance (Philippines) is the same as police clearance, correct?

85 days in...come on NOA2!

yup, NBI is police clearance in Phils,

Be careful with that. Madrid Embassy's website also mentions you need the police certificate for countries where you resided over one year. However, when they send the specific instructions for K1 (packet 3), it states you need them if you lived there over 6 months.

I would look into it ahead of time to avoid any delay. Better safe than sorry :)

Hi all,

First time posting but have been here for a while. Just noticed that a June case has been approved (6 numbers above my WAC number).

Its probably an expedited case but hooray for that person! :)

I hope you're all hanging in there, it's getting harder every day.

Emily.

Hmmmm. I can't find it. You are June 16, so I looked at all the June 15 and 16 cases (I thought) and I don't see this. Expedite is pretty rare on K1 from what I understand as it has to be humanitarian or similar to get expedite.

Hello everyone, I am with 90 days today, I so excited! In my country Brazil noa2 is very hard, they come with 130 days...

90 days for us too. I'm not excited--I'm frustrated. If this were just about any month in the last 2 years, we'd be approved by now.

I'm not sure I understand your comment. I do not believe NOA2 is especially country dependent (unless maybe now they trying to crack down on some countries--but Brazil not one).

I guessing only in my country this year the process is running slowly !!

Yeah I am happy, because is just one month, I cant wait to see my baby again

I just wanted know , why this year the process run slow

The paperwork is not in your country until after NOA2. It is all USCIS until them.

As for slow, there was a reprioritization of visas a few months ago and K1 was not a priority so we all got bumped down. Search here and you will find discussion on it.
