Yes. Any place they have lived for over 6 months after the age of 16 requires  police clearance. 

 

My my fiancée lived in Ireland a while and that has already been over a month waiting on the certificate.

Okay. I'll ask her to get going on it then. It'll make her feel a bit better I think to be doing something for it rather than just sitting and waiting

I'm sure that Tunisia being Tunisia they'll play dumb with her for the first 30 minutes, then tell her it will be fine, then have to be reminded 2 weeks later at which point the charade will start all over again lol. But hopefully I'm wrong

We have gotten her police certificates and scheduled her seminar, which is required in the Philippines.  I have my tax paperwork and pay stubs ready.  I am visiting her next week and we will get the kids police clearances for the Philippines at that time.  We will be in the position where all that will be left is the kids required seminar that can't take place until after they receive their visas.  If it goes slowly after NVC clearance, it is all my fault.  

Mayu I know what kind of seminar she's scheduled to?

It's a Philippines thing only. Their government does not let them leave the country without attending a seminar and being cleared in an interview. Not a U.S. visa requirement.

I am a Filipino too but I'm processing my visa at Myanmar. I plan to go back to Philippines first before I fly to USA soon. But as they said, if my exit will be at Philippines I must attend CFO.

Yes. It is a GCP seminar conducted by the CFO. It is required in order to leave. You only need to take it once and you don't need your visa yet to take it. You will go back to get the stamp after you visa arrive or I believe you can get the stamp at the airport if you have your class receipt.

The GCP is just a 4 hour seminar that explains the cultural differences they will face. She has her  appointment on September 14.

Where is Hillsboro?  I'm about 16 miles directly west of Chicago.  I went to Western Illinois so I am familiar with that part of the state, too.

Hillsboro is in Illinois.. i guess that's 3 or 4 hours away from Chicago. He mentioned more about Eastern so i guess Hillsboro is part of East (not sure). 😋

Ah, I just looked it up.  Right in the middle of Illinois near the University Of Illinois at Champaign... Looks like farm land.  It will be beautiful there.
