Thank you! This is the most complete thing I have seen! How do they process so many people without something like this?

I honestly could not imagine doing the petition without the information on this site.  I hired a third party company to help but I have learned more here than I ever thought was possible.  There are so many little "gotchas" that I would have been burned by if not for the help here.

Hank and Greenbaum are regulars so please ask any questions that you may have.  I guarantee that others have the same question but were afraid to ask.

Move over to the Philippines forum and the specific information there is very helpful.

I'm sick of him!

We need to keep the eye on the ball.  While being a pawn in someone else's chess game sucks, we need to make sure our frustrations do not leak into our relationships.  This is out of our hands.  we need to build on the love we have and if that means waiting, we need to wait.  Someday this part of the journey will be over and we will be with our loved ones.  That is all that matters.

I wish us all luck.

I had a good week last week.  For the first time in 3 months the estimated dates actually moved up.  It was fun and exciting.  Now this morning that went back 3 more days and is at the latest date reported so far.  Looks like we are still on this rollercoaster except it is trending towards the 6 month range for NOA2...

There are things you can do while you wait...police certificates and what you will need after the NOA2 should make the time go quicker.  Keep in mind that waiting on the NOA2 is out of your hands but after the NOA2, you have a lot of control on how quickly things move.

That is very true.. We have started focusing on what my fiancé will need once his interview rolls around. And that's good to know, that things start to return to our control after NOA2! Because right now, it definitely feels like EVERYTHING is out of our control, which is such a helpless feeling.

At this point we are all at the mercy of USCIS.  Once we receive the NOA2, we get a lot of control back and we can do a lot to speed up the process.  Having all the paperwork in place will really help.

That is a bit of a relief. We've done a lot of research, including others' account of the next steps and what type of things they were asked to provide so we can kind of get an idea of what they'll be looking for. I would like to be able to go over and attend the interview with my fiancé, if for nothing else, for moral support. I would be terrified if I had to be the one to do the interview and I know I'd want him with me. Haven't really seen any situations where both parties attended the interview, though, to know much about that and how it's taken. I can't imagine it isn't allowed, though.

It is somewhat common to have both parties available for the interview.  Some CO's dont allow the petitioner in but I believe the CO will respect the fact that they are there.  In the Philippines it seems pretty common that they do allow the petitioner in the interview.  I can't imagine that him being there with you would ever be considered a negative to the CO.

Right now my estimate is 2 weeks short of 5 months.  It started moving back again yesterday after moving forward last week.  I'm on day 88 and it seems to be about half way at this point.
