Not always!  I have a little bi-polar in me at times.  I think this process brings that out in all of us to a certain extent.

Honestly, I want the NOA2 as soon as possible but I have the added challenge of the kids who will finish school in the Philippines in March.  If I get it sooner I will have more stress on what to do for them.  I have been flipping back and forth on whether they should finish the school year there or not.  If it comes late enough it will be an easy decision.  If it comes sooner we will all have to sit down and discuss it.  Rose and I want to be together as soon as possible but that may not be fair to the kids.

I love seeing all the approvals and maybe that is why I am excited and scared at the same time.  I don't want to take the place of anyone else's approvals so I can very impatiently wait while at the same time feeling OK because it is probably best for Aira and AJ.  Talk about mental conflict!  I know that NVC can add a couple months too so February or March is probably where an approval this week will get me anyway.  This journey is brutal but I know that Rose, AJ and Aira are waiting at the end.

You are the sweetest person! I think many people here are rooting for you and wishing to see you get approved. I hope our wishes and thoughts bring some good news for you this week!

And what is best for you will happen! :)

Congratulations!! What amazing news!

What is the name of the app? I've been using one but Im not sure it's the right one!

I'm pretty sure it's just called "Case Tracker" - my fiancé has it, not me. He has an iPhone, so I'm not sure if it's called anything different for other users.

And thank you! :)

Håll ut, y'all.

I swear, the way my life or karma or something is set up... I can never get good news without bad news right behind. :|

I come home to a letter that my passport application was rejected due to my birth certificate appearing altered, and they won't be returning it to me. Which...makes no sense. It's literally the copy issued when I was born because I've never lost it, replaced it, or damaged it. And nothing was wrong with it when I took it to the passport application office.

It's not the end of the world, no. But takes about 5 weeks to get a replacement, which combined with the 4-6 weeks for passport issuance (if they accept the second go around) means I may not be able to book a flight in time to make it to Sweden at the beginning of the year before my fiancé leaves. And I haven't been yet, this is my first visit (it's so expensive, it's taken me this long to save for it. I wish it was as cheap as it is for him to come here. :( ). So now I'm back to stressing. Hoping it's not a big deal that I haven't visited there yet. We also had a daydream that I'd be able to book my trip around his interview so I could travel to Stockholm with him, which would've been nice. It's also the only way we'd be seeing each other, before he gets his visa to come here for good. So it just sucks.

It's also obnoxious that my $175 is non refundable....and my replacement for a birth certificate will be around $50. And fingers cross they take it this time. I called three times and all three people couldn't tell me what's actually wrong with the one I sent (which, ironically, passed with no questions asked as my proof of citizenship with USCIS). All they could say is I need to follow the instructions I've been given.

I really didn't expect issues with the passport process, of all things. And it's discouraging not knowing what the problem even is.

Where's the wine? I need it.

I need it.

Thus is terrible!

But let’s stay positive! It’s may take less than 5 weeks and at least you had an approval as opposed to an RFE or Denial.

Get your glass of wine, for a celebration 🙂

Dear God, please help me to survive this time. I'm beyond stressed and depressed. Can't understand why June 7 is taking so long to process. Congrats to all that were approved. I'm holding onto the little hope I have left in me. Hoping tomorrow is a better day. Sorry for being such a downer folks.

Trust me. We have all been there. One important fact to remember is that you will be approved. This isn’t pass/fail. You will be approved and I am praying that your approval will be soon. Hang in there just a little longer. We are all rooting for you. You can do this.

Hi everyone, so I have been silently following up, and today I saw my case number but got a RFE 😢. Who knows how long it takes once you've submitted the evidence to get an approval?!

No worries!  If you answer satisfactorily it only delays you a few days. They put the RFE files to the side so they can be approved quickly once the RFE is properly answered. I have seen approvals as quick as one day after they receive the answer. Hopefully it is an easy response.
