Does anyone know who we can contact or send a letter to in regards to this whole process and how it is affecting our mental health negatively? It's been an every day battle for me to fight stress and anxiety over this whole process for the past months....it's really taking it's toll on my mind and body. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. I am sure I am not alone in this, but I am considering seeing a professional for my mental health, so obviously I have had my fair share. And not trying to be negative, as I know the impact it has on me, I am just looking for suggestions.

Hey guys. Sigh I need some picking up.

I haven’t seen my man since forever. I haven’t seen my dog since forever. I havent seen my house since forever. I havent seen my home since forever.

I am so beat down. My depression is kicking in hard and I don’t know what to do. I feel so disconnected from my love and my life in the us.

We are at day 177. Nothing is happening. I can’t take this wait for nothing. We’re hitting 6 whole months of a big black nothing in 6 days.

I just can’t continue this for very much longer. I literally can’t. Work is keeping us from seeing one another as money is tight and we can’t afford a vacation to see each other.

I’m just so beat down. Nothing works out. Knowing our luck we will get a big fat RFE and can wait another month for an approval.

Im so desperate. I just can’t do this anymore :( I love him so much but every day I wake up in pain knowing he’s 4K Miles  and 6 hours away. We can only talk 1hr total a day because of work schedules. Sometimes less than that.

What a nightmare. It’s torture.

How do you do it?

I totally  understand you, unfortunately. It depends on the day--sometimes I am optimistic and positive and telling myself to let go of what I cannot control and others I am an emotional wreck and my fiance literally doesn't even know how to help me anymore. It helps to know we are not alone. I wish I can say that there is a button in our brain we can just turn off and not care about any of this, but there is not. I think the best thing is to distract yourself from what is missing in your life, and focus on what you have RIGHT NOW. Family....a job you love.....a hobby you enjoy......exercise....meditation. Whatever it may be. Somehow I feel better when I am fully aware of my present moment and not thinking about what is missing. I know it's hard and it's hard because YOU CARE. If you didn't care about this person, the distance wouldn't matter. You are hurting because you care and love your fiance.

Also, what I tell myself (I feel like 500 times a day to stay sane) is that there is a reason for this---think of the big picture. Somewhere down the line, this may be what strengthens your marriage and your bond. We are just not aware of it.

Stay strong and know you are not alone....this is just a bad day/bad month/bad week....it's not a bad life.

<3 Sending some love because we all need it <3:wub:

I'm not worried about a shutdown, but of war. My other half is in Seoul, and TWO mad men are at odds with one another.... USCIS, please hurry.

Trump's a mad man?   Say what?   Do you realize what life is like in North Korea compared to the U.S.?

As a servicemembe in the U.S. Army, I've seen war consently since Bosnia.  Anyone who beats the war drum (good, bad or indifferent) is a mad man. Estimates of 34 million dead on the Korean peninsula within 48 hours.

I've got every respect for military guys.  My dad was one and I spent 4 years overseas as an Engineering contractor on various military bases, some of them were FOBs.  I've had to take cover more than once.   Trump is not beating the war drums.  Unlike the previous pansy we had he's projecting strength to a brutal dictator who is obviously a mad man with nuclear weapons.  If that guy isn't stopped then he will become stronger and stronger until he eventual is a significant threat.   He's gotten nuclear capability due to the decades of appeasement from Liberal Politicians starting with Clinton giving him 2 reactors in exchange for forfeiting his weapons program.  What a joke!  Then Obama giving the Iranians 100s of millions of $ in a middle of the night flight..... This money, or part of it, ended up in N.K.  China's in on it too but I think they're backing off to some degree.  This world would be a very different place if not for the U.S. foreign policy including our military actions.    Think of it this way.... if not for Operation Neptune on June 6th, 1944 we'd all be speaking German.

For some reason, I am locked out of the USCIS website, I believe because of the maintenance update. Is anyone else able to login or are they receiving the same lockout message. It is different then the IP address lock out, this one says too many attempts to login lock out, which doesn’t apply to me because it was my first time logging in.
