Day 184 here.

Yes this is torture. Terrible, just terrible. With no idea when to expect movement, constant delays and receding timelines, it's impossible to make plans or to know when there will be light at the end of the tunnel. It's hard not to feel more and more desperate as time drags on.

But all we can do is hang on and hang on. It will happen, we will get there. Even though it sure feels like it, it is not actual purgatory  and we will have our turn.

Let's hope our friends in California are well rested this weekend and can tackle their workload with a fresh will tomorrow morning.  I know it's not really like this, but these days I imagine rows of visored adjudicators at their desks, sleeves rolled up, tongues peeking from the corners of mouths, peering at photos and receipts and papers and evidence under the light of bankers' lamps, surrounded by teetering mountains of piled petitions towering over their heads. :P

Sending best wishes their way...please please may they get to us soon.

I have lived in Bethesda for 2 years so I have already experienced the snow days and it was sooo weird for me at first!! I kinda tried to understand that since there are just few days with the snow they don’t have enough of proper equipment to get rid of it but still it was weird and funny to watch. And ... it will be :D

Too funny! I grew up in Rockville :D My father was in the Navy and worked at the hospital in Bethesda

I honestly stopped checking my timeline and estimated dates - it was just stressing me out so much that before clicking I had this kind of “before huge exam” stomachache! :D now I’m like ... it is gonna be what is gonna be! If it won’t happen in December then I guess I’ll use psychiatrist service :D
