my understanding was that all backgrounds and documents were checked between NOA1 and NOA2, which is why this part if the process is extremely lengthy.

From the question and answer thread I was under the impression that the adjudicators only look at the file for between 5 and 10 minutes but it sits in a box until they look at it. I assume there are some background checks but I don’t think they impact the times.

Same here for a little tiny bit of snow and everything shutting down! You'd think we'd know how to handle it since we get snow every year, whether hardly any or a bit more, but nope!

It’s just going to sit there until a CO at the embassy is ready to look at it and it’s unlikely that they will until your case file arrives at the embassy, and you’ve booked an interview appointment - which you can’t do right now.

Country doesn’t Make a difference for NOA2. But then again, for uscis it doesn’t seem the date accepted matters either

I hear you, we were hoping for christmas when we applied. My kids said they don’t want to open presents until there mom and sisters come home. I even had stockings made months ago. So we’ll be having a late Christmas.

I am a complete mess these days. At work today someone was telling me how she was mad at their husband and told him to sleep on the couch. I felt so personally hurt that i (rudely) took it as a good time to tell her how selfish she was to have such a great partner that WAS IN HER BED and she could not even appreciate it. some of us beg for only one week with our loved ones which at this time of the year is so expensive. To think that we were unfortunate enough to find love at the other side of the world but brave enough to try to hold on to it is such a strength. To all you that are reading this, it may take forever but it will be here. Today i made a conscious decision to remember how badly i want him here that i will never take it for granted. 

 

USCIS don't make me pull the car over....Give me my NOA2!!!!!!

I just checked my timeline and it has moved back another week!

 

Has anyone thought about calling the USCIS Customer Service Number? I was just looking on my NOA1 and it says to call 800-375-5283. I wonder if that would help or not. Anyone else scared they will wait forever only to find out USCIS lost the documents or something like that. Anyways maybe i'll call. Also, I saw you can set up an appointment at a USCIS office to get information. Thoughts?

Yep! If i get one more question from friends or family asking me "so hows it going with your visa?" I am going to scream.... No one understands this process. urgh

tier 1 and customer services know nothing, actually half of tier 2 also know nothing as we got sooooo many wrong information  

 

save your phone call money for NVC cause apparently you'll going to need to call them when the time comes.. but at least they're nicer people 😊😊

Whenever they have a system error, I always pray that they're updating and fixing whatever the problem/s is/are so more approvals will appear and more people will be notified. I hope they'll stop keeping us in the dark. I hope they'll stop hurting and giving us heartaches. This is too much already. Please USCIS people! If you're reading this, kindly have a heart for all of us. We know that your work is not easy. We know that you need to adjudicate cases with the best of your judgement. But please, look at those pictures..Look at those evidences.. Look at the reflection of happiness radiating on those evidences from us and see how genuine and true the love that we have for our Fiances/Fiancees  - vice versa. Love should never be hard. You (USCIS) is serving as the bridge for all of us. I hope ya'll believe in love. I hope you'll let us cross that bridge going to the arms of our significant others. Please...let us go home.
