Let’s just have a little laugh at ourselves...Brits talking about the weather..we can’t help it!

well if we had a decent climate we probably wouldn't! I don't know why we put up with it.......... ho, wait, a lot of us are planning on moving away from it...

I did read somewhere that we use it as a "neutral" conversation starter

I guess you weren't on the Yorkshire's coast on Thursday where 5 inches fell  during the day, roads closed and of course everyone panicking

Nah - I'm down in Surrey where all we are getting is wind, cold temperatures, and not much else.  My fiance is always complaining about how hot it is over there... I'd die for that right now, I hate the cold!

Forget these people on that TV show who are marrying for a green card - I'm marrying him for some relief from the cold! HAHA (kidding of course - kinda! LOL)

Ha ha  too Funny! We seem to do the same thing. When I was younger I swore I wouldn't be like the older folks and talk about the weather, but as I get older I find myself doing just that.

I think many people in the U.S. also use it as convo starter!

I'm not sure I can claim the same moving to Wisconsin! but at least winter are a "dry cold"  and the sun shines longer and more than in England, I hate the dull / dark days

Pffffft. Screw that. I put money on them having an easy ride with minimal wait... If they are waiting at all. 😑😒

I hope everyone here has the weather they want and a quicker wait.

Good evening guys, July 31st filer here, hope you are all doing great!

Quick question, even when we filed on July 31st, would it be okay to start filing the DS-160 form or is it too soon?

Sorry if it's wrong for me to post in this month's forum, but the July group isn't as active, and I always read May and June's forum.

Thanks.

I was wondering if Meghan accompanying Prince H on his visits is work? and if so is she aloud to work here since it seems to be a big problem when we go "overseas"

Hi JayJay

It’s not really worth completing the DS-160 until your approval gets at least to NVC stage. It’s just going to sit there until a CO at the embassy is ready to look at it and it’s unlikely that they will until your case file arrives at the embassy, and you’ve booked an interview appointment - which you can’t do right now.

On the app that WAC number states ‘we are reviewing your Petition’ on Nov 4 and on Dec 1 it changed to an RFE. On @Shoegum‘s Nov 7 raw scan it states ‘Notice explaining USCIS’ actions was mailed’ on Nov 4.

Thank you.

I would like to forward them the email I received in the event they want to address it with USCIS.

It’s funny because on our case, (after I sent a service request) they said they already  sent a notice through the post and through an email notification, both of which I never received, and then I got an email notification saying they were resending the original notice.

Lots of mishandling of papers itseems..

I understand USCIS is human too though.

Does anyone know specifically what actually happens at NVC?

Does everyone go through AP?

my understanding was that all backgrounds and documents were checked between NOA1 and NOA2, which is why this part if the process is extremely lengthy.
