They sent me SMS that they received it on June 6. We lived together in Cambodia for 4 years, we have a son who is 2 years old. I recently moved back to the USA to work, and am missing my fiance and my son so much right now.

I was hoping that her being listed already on his birth certificate issued by US embassy (Certificate of Birth Abroad) would help expedite things, but I have read it does not impact it. Although I do suppose having a son together is pretty good proof of relationship and having met.

Hello all, we mailed our application yesterday, June 12th, priority 2nd day USPS. After plenty of work filling out the application and pulling together all the supporting documentation, we suppose now is the time to wait patiently.

All K1 cases are send to California, so it will be the normal processing time (3-4 months average).

PS. I'm replying back in English because foreign languages are not allowed in the forum, except for your country specific forum.

Good luck!

Oh, believe me. I memorized the new set of instructions, kept a copy in my hand and slept on them like a pillow. We had started filing out the paperwork in February before the change, when we got ourselves ready to file...surprise! But all for the best, this new set is seemingly more thorough and helped us be much more organized for the next steps. 😊
