Are you putting it as an attachment? 

 

Try "copy" the gif itself, right click on it, and than paste it here where you write your message, just like you are pasting regular text, not bellow as "attachment".

When you right click and copy are you copying image, copying link location, or copying image location? When I right click and hit copy image it wont let me. same error message.

Only copy, as an image, gif is an image, not location. Try it again, we'll figure it out.

If you go to giphy, you can find COPY LINK beside the image that you want. There are several link options, just copy one link address and attach it in the the INSERT OTHER MEDIA below the text box here click INSERT IMAGE FROM URL and attach/ paste the image link address from GIPHY and click INSERT INTO POST. If it still won’t accept, choose another link address from giphy.
