@Naes is the May scan under way? I fell asleep twice already :(

Btw, June 8th there is one case missing since last scan, and there was no June 8th action today or Friday. Also, since @vocaledge scan I received one spinach update for June 6th Brazil, same one as @Nefertari reported here. Not saying to check, but that sure is good news :).

I am a Filipino nurse and I am planning to apply for a job after I get married to the love of my life. I hope I won't experience any racial discrimination at work because I do believe that we're all equal individuals with equal opportunities wherever we are in this world. Kisses and hugs to everybody. Spread the love

Im in the medical field and I’ve met a lot of nurses from the Philippines and I’ve never seen any maltreatment. Some of them even have a hard time with some English. The medical field is literally a melting pot of culture and everyone I’ve seen are very open and accepting. Not saying you won’t run into the occasion ignorant ###, but I wouldn’t worry much about it. Especially if you work at a large health system. I think you’ll have to take the NCLEX to get your RN license (I’m a paramedic and PA, so not sure about it specifically).

I really do think both ways are lovely, whichever way we chose. With working especially as a nurse! you'll be helping the country you live in!!

My fiance was admitted to the hospital right after we filed, and I traveled there; the diversity was incredible.. so many different people from different backgrounds; don't worry as long as you want to give, there will be people appreciating it! (I've got talked to in Indian(I believe it was), Arabic, Spanish and oh so many languages that I don't even understand what it was as I look a little bit of everything 😊)

Awww! My ever charming and sweet baby girl! Thank you for that wonderful message. I am currently working as a nurse here in the UAE and it's really a diversed country, too. I get to meet different people, different nationalities, different cultures and beliefs...but I think and I believe that all it takes are appreciation, acceptance and most of all RESPECT to each other so we can thrive and live together harmoniously. I am really excited to be with the love of my life and the future that we're gonna build together but I am also looking forward to make a little difference to the lives of the people that I will helping. I am a compassionate person and I love my work.

I respect both of your jobs sooo much!!

especially after that week of sleeping in the hospital (I took my suitcase to hospital- basically lax hospital then lax) I admire both of you!!! I wished everyday I did that kind of a job.. and to tell the truth now I respect nurses way more than doctors...🙈 They saved my sanity!

I can't wait to go there and do something meaningful that I can directly give to people.. at least as a volunteer..

Ok, random question to break the stress. Anyone else wonder if anyone from the 90 Day Fiancé show is on here? 😳😁

I'd wonder if that show is even really legal 😂😂😂😂

everytime i watch green card marriage movies I go like "that's so not how this happens"

(watched the proposal on the plane at that visit right after sending The petition😁😁😁)

Well, that's a confidence booster. Thank you!  I am more inspired to work as a nurse now. I am not really very fluent in speaking English myself but all can be learned when there is perseverance and determination, right? :D And Yes, I'm gonna need to take the NCLEX exam before I can get a job. I'm gonna schedule my exam date after the wedding. I will be waiting for my work permit so I will take the time and opportunity to review my books then take the NCLEX. I hope I'll pass the test. Hhehehe!

I wrote a whole book here, and this damn forum page refreshed on it's own and it all disappeared . This happened yesterday as well. Does this happen to anyone else, whoever is writing long winded posts? What a joke, sick to my stomach ....

Edit: Good night and good luck tomorrow.

I was exaggerating when i said everything. But it feels like everything. I sent alot of evidence.

Photos, itineraries, letters both his and mine and translated documents, his birth certificate, 2x2 passport photos, phone logs, text messages. The only thing i didnt add was the passport stamps. But you are saying to add even the blank ones??? Okay.

Yes add all pages from front to back including blank ones, ours in the USA is numbered at bottom of page starting with bio page on to back.

I disagree with you on this. I have hired foreign software developers because I could not get local talent that could do the job. Currently there is a greater demand for technical workers than is available in this country. America often gets the best and the brightest talent from all over the world. This makes America stronger not weaker. There is a huge shortage of nurses in the US, without the H1B visa program, this need would go unfilled.

I agree with you on this. I am also a Filipino nurse licensed in the US (USRN). There really is a shortage for US nurses. I have received both H1B visa and immigrant EB2 visa from different US employers. The nurses in America are getting old, and not enough American Nurse graduates are able to fill in the shortage. I had to give up my application for a green card EB2 immigrant visa because my fiancé wanted to get married instead. He and I would be in different states. I would have a green card if I wanted to instead I chose this path where in I had to wait 3 to 4 month to be authorized to work.

I’ve read somewhere that the show really searches for couples who are filing for the k1 visa, then pays them atleast $1000 per episode.

I wouldn’t mind starring in a show like that, nor the exagerrated drama, if it means still being with my fiance PLUS the money. $$$$ :jest:
