Hello VJ family. I was wondering, are there any petitioners on here live in California close to LA and soon to be spouse coming to California as well? I'm asking on behalf of myself and my future Husband because, this process is not easy, and it would be great to find some friends we can hang out with together that really know what we had to go through. Most family and friends don't understand, in a relationship like this and it seems taboo to them, So it would really be refreshing to have friends on the same page that we know wont pass judgement, or ask us a million questions every time they see us. and more importantly, question our Love and think we have a hidden motive about our relationship......

Ps. Just a heads up for those of you that are in the May and April Forum, I will be posting this message there as well.

I'm praying for us all

They are so backlogged, that it’s quite possible you won’t hear anything for another month or so.

Currently it is between day 170 and 180 before you will hear. You are close. Listen to your partner and relax. You have no control right now so please don’t drive yourself crazy. The wait sucks but it is what it is. Relax and dream of your life once you complete this journey.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

No need to apologize. This wait is truly having a terrible impact on our lives. We will get through this. We have to separate the process from the reason for the process. We are all frustrated but that should make your resolve to be with our loved ones even stronger. Don’t give the process the satisfaction of knowing it is winning. Stay strong and love deeper. True love will ALWAYS win!

You are a super awesome inspiration for all of us in the same boat. Thanks for helping us to keep the most important perspective--we will be with our loved ones for a long time after this all said and done--when we look back on all of this "waiting" it will seem like only seconds passsed. I can not wait until we all are on the other side.

Thank you for the kind words.  I believe we have all at certain points focused on the process and not our love.  This journey will end and hopefully, with God's grace, our love for our partners will not.  We are here for them.  We all need to be strong and let them know that even the US Government's bureaucracy was not strong enough to pull us apart.

Just be patient your time is coming soon. I and my fiance are day 175--he is in Jamaica. Just use this time to remember why you are going through this process. You love each other and you will eventually be together in person and ALL OF THIS waiting will be worth it. Once your NOA 2 comes you guys will be rushing to get all of your paperwork for the interview together in a seemingly complete whirlwind. Keep your head up.

You could not have stated this more perfectly! Countdown for you to the Philippines in early December.

Yes. Truly bizarre. Try losing the the Texas and just start everything in California. Your NOA1 date is weird too. Did you actually get an RFE before your NOA1?  I think you are just confusing the system here!

Where can you do those estimates 🤔
