I believe they won't do an inquiry until you pass day 183.  6 Months is their advertised timeline so asking before the 6 months is up will bring the stock "within normal processing time" response.

What I'm saying is that it wouldn't be worth it to contact a congressperson because we'll hear back from USCIS before the inquiry would be answered.  If we were at 190+ days, maybe - but our case seems to be moving at a pace comparable to everyone else's.

I filled one out when the website showed the processing date as September 1.

They will do an inquiry after day 183.  Before that they are within their advertised timeline.

I did a scan of 500 with my number being the last one.  There are 6 approvals today from June 6 filers in that scan!  It isn't me (yet) but it is exciting to see.

Larissa the Tier 2 reps do not know anything. I have spoken to one a few weeks ago.. this forum truly has more detailed and accurate info than USCIS workers..trust me girl .
