In how far can you be prepared? What can you do to not lose any time?

Will you be living in Savannah???? <3 my fav City in the US so far :)

you can prepare the stuff that you need for your interview.

i.e. find out which doctors close-by do the medical check, how expensive is it (to withdraw money as you pay cash),

order or find out where to order the background check etc... take the passport photos (as you need to have sooo many) ....

also for your fiancé to prepare the financial part that is required...

if you go to the embassy website for Germany you should be able to find all the steps/requirements easily :)

yep I will be living in Savannah :D you are right, it's absolutely beautiful and I can't believe I'm lucky to call it my home soon.

N-400: 12/05/2023 (confirmed fingerprints are re-used)

Interview scheduled for: 05/09/2024

Ok maybe I saw it and got confused, after the NOA2 approval we can call in abt 2 weeks for the case# from NVC then what do we do with that? What’s the next steps? My fiancé is in Nigeria and he said once I get the approval he can take a copy of the approval letter and get his physical and then when the consulate is ready he makes his appt for the consulate cause he already has everything (after paying the fee and doing the DS160). Would that work?I was hoping he would be here by the end of January. My noa1 date is June 23rd.

What do you guys think about how much time it would take from NOA2 till being on the plane to the US?

My NOA1 is June 7... i still have to put in my 3 months note at work. I am thinking to put it in this week so i will be ready to leave in march.

I feel ya on that issue... I wound up talking to my fiancé and we decided to have our wedding late summer/early fall. That way I can give up my apartment w a 3 month notice... quitnwork, sell vehicle, all the stuff we messaged about, at a nice and comfortable pace. 🙈
