So you are not going to use them?  For $500 it may be worth having them make sure everything is OK.  In my case there are 3 of them.  It get a little expensive unless they offer a discount on their fees for additional submittals.  I know each one will have the $1225.  I am hoping that they have a package deal since the paperwork will be redundant in many areas for the kids.

That is gonna be costly on your end i feel for you, hope u win lottery soon

No i said i was gonna use them not me do it, 1750 is a chunk to pay out all at once though. No payment plan on that one yet

Oh.  No payment plan like they have for the K-1?  I'm looking at $5,250 as a single payment!  Oh well.  I will still use them, too.  It is worth the peace of mind to know everything is done correctly.

Can't you use RV for ONE of the applications, and then mimic all that they say on the other applications without paying them?

(I don't know because I definitely am not/was not in a place to pay an extra $500 even using a payment plan  - but it just seems to me that you could do that?)

Also.....  I totaly have an itchy scanner trigger finger today..... Clock watching to wait for midday California.

I was thinking about that too.  The one challenge will be them filing for Rose while I file for the kids.  I want to keep all applications together. I will try to figure out a way around that.  If I can save $1000 by doing it that way it is worth trying to see what is possible.

Still only 7:41 in California.  We are all waiting on that itchy scanner trigger finger too!

No kidding!  And that has to be paid right after the one roundtrip and 3 one way tickets from Manila!  It is all worth it though to have Rose and the kids here in my arms.

It was definitely something that can be done without a service.  I filed a month before I found this site.  I did appreciate the extra set of experienced eyes to look things over.  It gave me a little more peace of mind.  Before I went to them I started my own filing and I was using the wrong form.  When I started with them I noticed it was different.  I would have submitted wrong if I went on my own.  I didn't realize they just switched the forms out.

That almost got us, too. My fiancé left to go back to Sweden on April 4 and we began gathering our things immediately after he left so we could file ASAP. After I'd already filled out the form and thought we were good... I happened to go back to double check who to make my money order out to for the fee and noticed a different edition date than I'd seen before, and that's only how I caught it. Otherwise, we'd have mailed the outdated version. :|

Håll ut, y'all.

I believe is their way of getting all caught up... buying themselves some extra time, at our expense. (Sorry not in good place right now... too many RFE’s so late in the process)

This was hypothesized over a month ago as a likely outcome by those that work in and around government (not me btw). About a month ago, it was very clear from volumes of petitions and the rate that they were being worked that early June would easily be over 170 days average very likely over 175 and quite likely over 180 which pushes the advertised response time window. There are many many May petitions over 180 now and with Thanksgiving, first few days of June is going to have the majority of petitions quite long.

I did not want to believe the "use the RFE to buy time" hypothesis a month ago, but my gut was worried about it. However, it seems the data is starting to validate the hypothesis that they will keep the  average response time at or under 180 or so days this way.

The road has an end, just so many curves you can't see it or know how far away it is.

SAME. My fiancé began joking with me when we'd FaceTime to go over stuff... "Babe, I can really tell how organized you are after going through this. I've never seen so many Post-It notes and "sign here" tabs :jest:". I, being in my serious "we've got sh-t to do" mode, didn't find it so funny at the time. lol

Hahahaha the same here. He thought I was going OTT and laughed at me. I was getting a strop on as I really didn't find his "humour" funny at the time. Like you, I was in 'Sh*t To Do* mode. Looking back on it, it was pretty funny. They. Were. EVERYWHERE. 😂

I am super grateful he spotted the paper date though. 😥

haha!! :D It is funny when you look back on it, as I'm sure a majority of this entire process will be when it's all said and done (I hope). Lots of.... "remember when we were freaking out for no reason and thought the world was ending because it took 500 months to get an NOA2??? Ah, the good ol days".
