We sent our K1 May 23rd, got a rfe 8th June, sent the papers on 12th of June and got our NOA1 20th June. We are still waiting on NOA2, it seems like California office has gone from average 3 months to 4-5 months now. Anyone know the cause, maybe due to Texas flooding?

Sometime in April or May the USCIS reprioritized the visas and put the HB (work) visas ahead of family visas. The timelines shot up to 5 to 6 months from 3 months after that. I think May and June were hit hardest but we are hoping that going forward the times will pick up. 

 

June 1 filers are on day 162 now. We expect (hope) that June starts up next week as they are still working on May and today is a holiday. We are all very close to NOA2 but the wait still sucks. It is out of our hands.

How would floods in texas effect the processing when k1's are processed in california. The avg is 5 to 6 months edging toward 7 to 8 now.

I'm pretty sure the Texas office also deals with K1s

Nope. All K-1s are handled at the California Service Center. Only some expedited petitions are getting transferred these days.

I was more curious of why the transfer happen and if the flood had anything to do with it.. someone else answered that question in a way hehe.

Nice to see someone else going through this process in Moldova.  Looks like you will probably get NOA2 a couple weeks before me.

I believe your received date must be over 6 months ago before you can do an inquiry.  If it is less than 6 months you are considered within their posted timelines.

When did you send yours ???
