I just submitted an inquiry into the processing time for our Visa. The representative was very polite and helpful. I asked her if she had heard of any changes going on at the California service center. She said that they have to go by the published date on the website. She said it could be a mistake that will be corrected later but right now it allows us to submit inquiries for processing time.

That's a good one!! At least a smart answer!!!

Haha yeah, my thoughts exactly!

Imagine what a backlog at the NVC this would create if it were somehow true. It would still be progress, so not a huge deal......... but still.

It would be just the luck for May and June filers to not benefit from things being shifted around but instead get slowed even more because of an overtaxed NVC...

If my fiancee gets to leave work a bit early she will also call uscis and request an inquiry today. We should all take advantage of this "idk what's going on" situation.

Hello guys, just an august filler lurking around. This is by far the most interacting topic right now about this subject, so I'm just gonna jump in with you here hahah.

I'm hoping to see good news about this, from all what I've read definitely there is something going on! I'll wait to see if anyone got any more info, but tomorrow my fiancee will give uscis a call and i'll tell you what we hear from them!

Best of luck to everyone!!

Can you please explain what’s happening? I have seen a bunch of posts about this. What exactly are people saying that is allowing them to submit a request for their application being processed outside of processing times and where is the reference showing proof that they are outside of processing times? Thank you so much!

Click near the bottom, next to Califronia Service Centre and look at the date next to K1

It shows (mistaken or not) that they are working FROM Sept 1st onwards... meaning May, June, July, August... all are 'out of advertised processing times' and are eligible to request their case to be moved to the top of the list and expedited.

I just got off the phone to my SO and told him everything from this thread and the website.

He said he'll call them once he is done eating and see what is going on.

I'll post here with what he says. :)
