Hello everyone.  This place has been such a help.  The waiting is difficult but doing it with others makes it more manageable.

My question now is whether or not it is worth getting a head start on the medical.  We received our NOA1 on June 6 so we aren't expecting the NOA2 for a few months.  Is there a time limit on how soon prior to the interview the medical takes place?  It seems like this can be a few day process and if required, some tests take a couple months to complete.  Should Rose and her kids go ahead and get that done now?

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

So I checked the case through the USCIS website and it says there that they got our application last June 30, but we got the text last July 5, so what date should I put in my timeline?

Hi, Visa Journey ask that you put your NOTICE date on your timeline however you won't know the notice date until you actually get it in the mail and it is listed on the NOA 1 From I-797.

In our case the TEXT came in on 5/4 and when we got the NOA 1 it had a notice date of one day prior to that so 5/3.

Your Notice date might be 7/4 you can put that for now and always change it when you get the NOA 1.

It won't make much of a difference on your timeline estimate range though.

Be sure to put California as your Service center and NOT Texas.

Good luck

Hi! I just received my noa1 in the mail dated that it was received June 30th. So I may be moving around September. Anyone heard of the cons of changing your address during this transition? Will my beneficiary have to do anything different? Do you think forms with my previous address will be a problem ?

Looks like you will be moving right before your NOA 2 will arrive.

You will just need to send in a change of address.

The foreigner doesn't need to do anything regarding your change of address.

When they fill out the DS-160 Visa Application they will just have to put your NEW address there.

Be sure to put a change of address for mail forwarding at www.usps.com

Take care

Hi it's actually impossible to get the medical done without an approval of NOA 2 petition.

The only delay in medical is if there is issue with TB.

You CAN sent her to a doctor in the Philippines and have x-ray/test done for TB.

If she has it then you can start treatment now but again the St. Lukes Medical in Manila will test for all of this and it is included in the fee.

Where in the PI is she from? My Fiancee is from Mindanao.

Welcome aboard

She is from Pateros, Metro Manila.  Thank you for the info.  Just trying to get a handle on everything and seeing what I can do to streamline as much as possible.

Thank you so much for all the help that you are giving here.  I am one of those who has been here reading through hundreds of posts and learning everyday.

No problem we are all here to help.

I would suggest 2-3 months from your NOA 1 you can start to have her work on her DS-160 which is the visa application.

No NOA 2 is required to start filling it out. Just make sure you or her log in at least every 30 days or it will be removed from the system and you have to start over.

We plan to start working on ours later this month.

Lucky for you she is in Manila so travel for medical, CFO and interview will be limited.

Well I am not sure of the date of my move. It may be after I get the noa2, so it may be when my fiancé is in the interview stage. Do you think my (petitioner) change of address at the later stages is a problem?

Not at all especially if he has the NOA 2 already in hand.

The important thing is to be sure he updates his address with USCIS.

I’ve tried to register on USCIS to track my case (my partner gets the emails but I’m wanting to be able to check too!) it lets you put all your registration details in then when you submit, it goes to a blank screen with no confirmation and just the logo at the top. If you press back and try again it says your session has expired. Anyone else having problems registering?

putting my receipt number in without registering also doesn’t work but we only just had email NOA1. I just want to register on the site

Are you saying that when you put in the number (starts with WAC....) that the site doesn't give you the update?  I just tried mine and it worked.  Did your partner register for himself?  Does it work for him?

That part doesn’t but i’m putting it down to being too early. I actually can’t register to log in to the site to track my status. Registration page goes over two pages to complete and when you submit....nothing.

Maybe due to location?  I will ask my fiancé to try from the Philippines but I believe it should work.  I was able to check as soon as I received the email notice of the NOA1.

Greetings from the US.  My grandmother came from Cornwall.  I have UK in my blood.  Hopefully we can figure this out so you can impatiently wait like the rest of us!!!!  LOL

Sorry for meddling, but are you trying to check your case receipt number here? https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

I can't be 100% sure right now, but I think it worked right away when we get the number...
