I can't believe how you guys allowed your selves to get pushed into this kind of an emotional "septic tank" by the few who for whatever morbid reason had to get you there. Shame on them, but you aren't excused either.

This has to be one of the most joyous periods of your life, an experience like no other you will ever experience, and you are where???? You found the love of your life, person who will be everything you needed, be the "Yin" to your "Yang", so get your azz back to life. This is beautiful, enjoy it, celebrate it, we have a free place to do it ! We are all in this together, come on already, live a little for God's sake ....

I agree but all these approvals are still at 170 days.  Telling everyone that they will have 160 is just as bad as telling them 180!  Realistically, they are still processing 5/15.  The latest is 5/22 but that is still 165 days.  There are also a group of 5/1 petitions approved today at 186 days.  None have hit the magic 160 yet and I do not believe that they will.  I still say 170 is the realistic and true estimate for early June filers.  I'm at 150 so we will know soon enough...probably 20 days.

I will still be with my loved ones as soon as possible but 160 is simply not feasible in my very humble opinion.

Hey John, I got news for you, 210 days. Ok? Happy?

I'll stick with an honest 170.  I suppose I should just say 120 to you!  Peace brother!  I am hoping to hear you say "I told you so"!

Thanks for being the voice of reason. I hate reading posts riddled with despair and anxiety.

I understand this in general. However bear in mind some of us have loved ones in less than progressive places with terrorist groups and outdated ideas. Sometimes, it's more than just missing them and a long distance relationship. The emotional and physical welfare of our loved ones is sometimes in constant jeopardy until such time as they are removed from the situation. So there is only so much relaxing and enjoying I can do until I know my loved one is safe.

I have to say - I dont speak very much but you, sir, are extremely disappointing.  Regardless of if you agree with @The Squirrel or not, the accusations you made at him in the May thread, and now bringing that same negativity to this thread... its disgusting.   And its not the first time either.

Guessing the number of days at 150, 160, 170 or anything else isn't affecting me or my process, but the attitude brought into this forum by you, with your constant jibes and attacks on a guy who is trying to be positive and help... YOU are affecting me, and probably others too, making me not even want to come here and support.be supported.

I seriously think you should consider leaving him to spread his own form of positivity, ad for you to spread yours, because I, for one, am far more affected by this behavior than any overly-hopeful estimate of 160 days.

Don't let yourself be dragged into that game.  Keep doing what you're doing - you're a source of hope for me, and if I dont hit 160, or even 170, I will still thank you for keeping me positive and hopeful for that little bit longer than I had been before I was regularly reading these threads, so thank you for all you do.

Please - don't get dragged down.  Keep being positive for everyone here!

I just prefer reality. If you read what I said I was hoping he would say “I told you so” to me. I want him to be right. He just isn’t. In Maybthey are at 186 and he is still saying 160. If that is what you want then I have no problem. I prefer a more honest outlook. I am never negative. I consider 170 awesome. I am the most positive person. I know that I will not make 160 but I am very sure 170 will be very close. I am excited about that. I was never negative. Just more realistic.

He he blamed me for bringing down the May group morale. They don’t seem to see it that way. They are happy they are getting approved between 170 and 186. I agree with them. That isn’t negative. To me negative is trying to make people believe in Santa then blaming them when they don’t get presents.

I will stop my conversation with him but I will continue to honestly help people here.

I hope that that your approval comes quickly you are with your loved one as soon as possible.

Your reactions to him and constantly bringing him down ARE negative.

I dont know either of you. All I know is that what I see from you is far more bothersome than anything I see from him, including his estimates.

We all have a right to be as conservative or hopeful as we choose to be.  In my humble opinion, what we don't have the right to do, is to bring each other down and attack the opinions or estimates of others, and that, my friend, is what I see you doing.

Just let him do his thing and you do yours, and stop that side of things in future.  Thats all.

(I also hope for approvals for you, me and everyone else, as soon as possible)

I'm a July filer.  I am currently living with my fiance so in a better situation that many, but our financial and psychological stress right now is pretty extreme.  I haven't seen my family in the states in 3 years now so I'm very eager to get back.  We are losing money every day that this process is delayed.  I have some mental health issues that I can't get treated until I get back to the US so have had to REALLY try and suck it up.  Having the dates pushed back every month has done a hell of a number on me and I understand how it is really frustrating for everyone.  HOWEVER!!!!! I still have this dream that the process will speed up, and that the holidays will not be a big delay.  I might be unrealistically optimistic but I can't afford not to be at this point or I'll simply crumble apart and so will my fiance.  Our whole life is on hold at the moment.  All of us just need to keep reminding ourselves that the next few months will be over before we know it, and for you folks in June, many will probably be all interviewed up in Jan.  Maybe even December!! Keep up the hope.  I know this sucks.  We will all get through it though.  I tend to hang on to @The Squirrel and @Naes posts because they are so delightful and give a positive twist to things.  I've tried myself to analyse the data and come up with a prediction but it's just turning into an obsession.
