If any new filers are reading this, my strongest recommendation is to obtain an immigration lawyer. My fiancé and I have been dragged through the mud on every corner.  Yes, some people that have obtained an attorney have received RFE’s but they tend to be processed much faster. We did not get an RFE and it took me contacting my congressman, calling nearly every day and doing inquiry after inquiry just to get an NOA2.   After 231 day we finally got out NOA2.  That doesn’t mean much of anything until you pass every single step of the way in which at any point you get get denied.  Now we are in NVC black hole of Adminiatrative Procrssong.  Another step of who the heck knows what will happen next.   I’m not affiliated with any legal form but I sure wish I was.    Again, get any attorney so you don’t go through what we are going through now.  So freaking depressed right now.  Again, in my personal and strongest opinion, GET AN ATTORNEY!!!!   Any of you  can disagree with me and say what you will, that’s fine, but all of the newbies out there, good luck on doing it yourself.  I wish to goodness I had obtained one right now.

sorry that you had to wait sooo long!

this is certainly not normal. well nowadays maybe it is.

I understand your frustration, but in most cases a lawyer can not do more at all.

on this form I read several times how an attorney was actually slowing down sometimes, as he did not forward the NOA2 info or RFE's immediately and the couple has waited 2-3 weeks on his update.

For the extra fee you pay a lawyer you would expect completely opposite and immediate reaction and everything.

I don't think a lawyer is necessary unless you have  very complicated case from the beginning (several divorces, many children and possibly not having the custody etc).

After all, it's not in our hands how quick they work on the piles of files but... I hope you get your next step quicker through and hopefully you can be in your fiancé's arms very very soon <3

All the best and positive to you

N-400: 12/05/2023 (confirmed fingerprints are re-used)

Interview scheduled for: 05/09/2024

Well, before stories we go with reality

3 more cases of approvals that are not updated from May crew. One case of RFE from 5 days ago not updated as of a final scan. We are waiting for @Naes to see April work today, it may be confusing, or it may be monumental for predictions. (update: @Shoegum is scanning as we speak). Coming soon ....

Facts:

12 days of untouched cases in May

5 working days left in October

3 of those 12 are heavy 2x300+ and 1x400+ cases

3 days of those 12 have under 100 filed cases:

May 19th - 71 case

May 24th - 83 cases

May 31st - 80 cases

To get those 3 days cleared up, it can be a day or day and a half

Should this be the case, than some 10 working days from now, we can see a strong push into June ! And it gets even better ........

Hold the phone. Is this June theory actually a possibility?...😮

Well, there was one June 9 unexpedited approval. It is interesting for sure but it can also be an anomaly. We will have to wait and see. Deep down I do not expect USCIS to just skip an entire month but maybe they have changed how petitions are divided. I believe some employee grabbed the wrong file. There are still 5000 April and May petitions out there.

Time will tell.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

April petitions are really scary.. But I believe they're going to start June around 3/4 of May cases :D

But then again it can very well be wishful thinking...

Wishful thinking is not a bad thing as long as it comes with a small dose of reality!  I would love things to move quicker but there are a lot of people past day 160 and even 170.  We all hope it turns around but only time will tell.

AWESOME WORK @Naes !!!!! THANK YOU !!!!

First to wish a good morning to all ! Then, some slightly odd news, it is 9:30am in New York, and in the last half an hour I received 3 notifications of approvals  on my app already. Odd in a sense that it is only 6:30 am in California, and they are updating already. Cases are

April 27th - United Kingdom - was RFE now approved

May  10th - Philippines - was received now approved

March 23rd - Serbia - was RFE now approved

Judging by the morning, this could be a big day ! I have to go to work soon, but first I have to go over these graphs by @Naes, there is much to be said about the stats. One thing is for sure, we are well on our way. Also, I keep going back to that Q&A with the USCIS agent, as I agree completely with Naes for their data entry lagging, and judging by yesterday's work, I believe they are already at the June threshold, knocking on the door. :):)
