Judging by the current lack of automation and the statistics, I'm going to say not much procedurally.

I'd be more interested to know how their employee numbers have changed since then. It'd be really helpful to know how many people are actually working applications since that interview said about 15 minutes per on on average. That would give us better time estimates.

It is not as helpful as you might think because there does not seem to be a dedicated pool of people working by petition type. You can look at the posted numbers of how many they work in a day and simply divide by 28-30 (depending upon how optimistic you are) and they will give you the number of FTE (full time equivalents) that worked cases that day. I have not seen it exceed 6 FTE by much (in other words, they rarely process more than 180 in a day) and many days are 1 FTE or less of work.

I have to run the numbers again (or someone may have them), but IIRC they are averaging less than 100 per day over the last month. And there are currently almost 5000 petitions in the queue before any of us (although they only work about 75% before getting into a new month, so you could argue that there are about 3000 in the queue before us, but still that math is not good as that is about 6 or 7 weeks worth of work at least). That means we hit thanksgiving.

Just wait for the RFE floodgates to open within the next 30 days.

Hey there.

You may have answered this already somewhere, (I'm lost and this is all very overwhelming), but how do you guys know what your time scales are?

We sent our package in at the end of June. Got the received confirmation dated for June 30th. I check the USCIS processing website every day as well as the Case Status page. Had nothing since.

And what are you talking about "time lines?"

This is all so bloody confusing, nerve wracking, and patience destroying. I know to be patient, calm, and what not... THERE IS SO MUCH TO DOOOOOOO. Shipping, sorting out the cat, arranging the big date etc.. 😥

Oh, I'm a long time lurker. You guys have been amazing with providing a tonne of answers to questions I had during the application building process. So, thank you.😎

Welcome @Lotts !

Here we are a family, can't wait for new members. I personally bring champagne to the table, hoping to translate the "bubblicious" mood onto others, but others will greet you with a noose, magnum 357, cyanide etc . So, the advice is, don't listen to me, so you don't have to hate the others, or, stick with me, you may hate me later, but until then you will enjoy every second of it :D.

"Time Lines" are here, on your forum account, you fill in all the dates, and you get a date approximated for when you will be greatly disappointed . If you believe it is is kind of like bottom of the 9th, down 1 run, bases full, 1 out, 50000 on their feet chanting your name, and you swing :o ..... into a double play. Luckily baseball plays 150+ games a year, so one game wont cost you the season, like here one day, who cares.

You had me at Champagne 😍

I just checked it out. Stumbling around the site trying to find everything you guys have been talking about. Looks like my date is between the 7th - 11th of December. I had it all worked out on paper that it would be October. Then it slipped into November... Now it's that. 😭

The contract on my living place runs out in February. It's all getting a bit tight.

Time to put on the brown pants!!! 😥

Just a warning, the estimates on VJ have been optimistic for almost everyone that filed March-May because the algorithm that calculates dates at VJ seems pretty unsophisticated and does not do a good job at adjusting based upon trend lines. That is why it has been too optimistic for months and keeps adjusting almost weekly for us, pushing out further and further.

As an FYI, I think the VJ estimate for you is too optimistic. It is close to what the optimistic members here calculate. I myself have also created an algorithm that considers trend and now backlog data. The bad new is that mine is about 9-11 days longer than the VJ prediction and theirs does not seem to account for holidays, so mine puts you at about Dec.20 but factoring in Thanksgiving, that bumps you into the Christmas holiday so you might actually roll to January. Others will tell you I'm pessimist, but my algorithm looks like it is predicting the average May wait pretty well so I trust it for June.

I agree with DandY. I am a bit more pessimistic ( I prefer realistic). I got my NOA1 on June 6 and I believe I will probably see NOA2 at the 6 month point, probably just beyond that actually.  I believe I will be a mid-December NOA2. If it goes another week, I can be looking at January because of holidays.  June 30 will be January or February.

The reason my algorithm didn't push them out that far is that they are June 30 and June has less filers than month before, so as we go through June, mine is predicting shorter timelines for late June than early June. But we shall see.
