I thank all the comments here, because I too was so happy when I first saw a projected September date for a NOA 2, but now pushed back to late November/ early December.   It is good having a realistic timeline and knowing I am not alone in this wait.   I look at the bright side, my Fiancee is from a warm climate so this little delay will have her here in late winter/ early Spring as temperatures start to rise and there is more sunlight.  I was hoping on having her here for the holidays but am thankful for technology to be able to see and talk to her.   This has been a lesson in patience.

June 9th NOA1          December 15th NOA2      January 18th NVC Received

Guys lets stop a bit with this sobbing, it is not nice at all. It is a party, and enjoy the process.

@John & Rose at least you have a leg up on all of us, I would love to be in your shoes. Being that you will be one of the first ones to the finish line, will you abandon your forum family here, or will you stick for the duration?

I am planning on sticking around and helping all I can. I came into this so green and have learned so much. I owe that same favor to the people who follow behind me. We are truly a family and I also enjoy seeing how similar we all are no matter where we are from. We have our disagreements but there is always an air of respect. I wish the entire world can see that while we are all different, we are still all alike. I enjoy coming here and learning new things.

The process can can be difficult, frustrating and expensive but we all fell in love with someone up to half a world away. That makes us all the same...just a little bit crazy.

I  do agree with you. Let’s stop the crying. This is out of our hands right now. Complaining about it will not speed it up. Don’t let the frustration with the process make you forget why you started the process in the first place. Hold you loved ones closer even if that is on Skype. This journey will end. This is just a huge ship and it is moving, even if it is too slow to see.

Nicely said @John & Rose, nicely said, thank you. I have to say that if it wasn't for Skype, this would be a true torture. I live on that thing. There was not a day in last 2 years that we spend less than 3 hours talking. I was even kidding with her that once together, we'll have to go to two separate rooms so we can speak on Skype, to remember the good old days . She didn't take that joke well at all .

Anyway, @John & Rose did you already know you had an advantage over us, or you just found out? When I read that, I said "my boy John must be doing cartwheels right now":lol::lol:. Good for you! Hope it is very soon, get your butt out of the way so rest of us can get there :)

I don’t know if any advantage. I just assume my received date was sooner. Am I missing something?

My timeline here says November 15. I am assuming an actual NOA2 in early December at the soonest. If I drop 4 more days (I will) I am in Thanksgiving week. That is a 3 day week and recovery the following week is slow.  This my November 15th date is actually expected December 6. That will be exactly 6 months from NOA1

No, @John & Rose not about the date. I am talking about the "confession" of the ex-agent of USCIS. He explained how they work, and how they get graded as employees. It is a point scoring system for every approved individual, not application. Hence, if one case has a fiancé and kids, as is the case with you, then the USCIS employee will get credits for 2 or 3 approved individuals, even though it is one application. They love those cases, when they spot them, they jump on them like mice on cheese . So, my dear @John & Rose, I guess I am happy to be the bearer of good news :)

I did not hear that!!!  Boy, I wish she had more kids!!!!  Lol

But with that comes medical and DS-160 costs (x 3)!!!!  I am looking at 85,000 Philippines Pesos ($1,700) if I can get the medical done before Aira turns 15 in January. If not that number goes up to 92,108 php ($1,800).

Then airfair for three (who am I kidding...I will fly there and come back with them)...I mean one round trip and 3 one way tickets!!!  Still worth every cent!!!

Thank you you for the good news. I haven’t had much here lately!  Now if we can figure out how to get that into someone’s hands sooner!

I view the finish line as POE. John might line jump on NOA2, but he has additional logistical issues due to kids and Filipino policy. So while I wish John the best, line jumping in USCIS is unlikely to get him to the finish line before many of us.

I take a day or so off an I come back to this Kumbaya moment. Does this mean we are all aligned now and our good friend The Squirrel has come to grips with reality? :P:P:P

:lol::lol: I love it, our daily family reunion is here, I love weekdays !!!

I am not giving up so easy , no Sir ! And I don't mean to sound like I am perpetually pushing of the "truth" you guys are advocating, but let's wait until the end of the day to see where we are. Hindsight is always 20/20, and foresight may be the product of one's nature as it derives from the maker. So, lets just sit tight a little while longer....
