...it pales in comparison to the UK visa system, in which you can buy your way to a spousal visa within days!

You are welcome.  That brings up such an interesting question.  I originally didn't see any reason not to have my WAC# out there but if anyone can use that to change the petition it is a little scary.  My gut says that it isn't that easy but I wonder what proof they need to make changes.

They need birthdate and address  and i think the last of social to do anything they ask for that when u call USCIS.

Hi there! :)

I've been one of those people that lurks and reads on this thread and never bothers to talk. I guess i don't really have anything to say that's why. ;) But now i do so...

I have this dilemma about this K1 process...

I have a passport expiring on January 2019 and since our application is still in process and might not get NOA2 'til December, i was wondering if i should renew my passport in January 2018 before i start answering my DS-160 and setting my medical and interview appointments. The thing is, passport applications are now so hard to book online (only in the Philippines) and i don't know when they're going to have an available slot. So now i'm thinking on whether i should just hold back on the passport renewal since mine is technically still valid and just wait until i get to the US and renew my passport there. If i get lucky and leave the country around March or April, my passport is still valid in the US for 9 months. I read something about passport validity should be 6 months beyond extended stay in the US, is mine still considered valid then?

I've been very patient with this whole K1 application since i know that my fiance and i will be together soon so we're just going with the flow but my passport's bugging me and so i just want some input from you guys on what the best option is and so i would gladly appreciate your comments and suggestions on this. :)

Thanks in advance! :D

Yes, I am definitely hoping for closer to 160 as opposed to 180! Maybe I’ll split the difference and go with 170

Is it just me or does it seem like they're taking forever for may? It's been 2-3 weeks now and they're barely a week into it. It definitely feels like we're just spinning our wheels...

Agreed!!!

So you fall in the realist category. Optimist is 160. Pessimist is 180.

Don’t worry, The Squirrel says we will have soon! :P

But I agree with you. The trend line is that they are still falling more behind. Lots of people at 168 and more. We are easily over 170 now.

Well, we are still strong at 160 :D. We had champions of all 3 expectation examples checking in at once, good job gents :lol::lol:

I am waiting for the two wizards to come through tonight with April's scan, so we can see what they have left there and how much time they spend there daily. Naturally as April cases get mowed () down, agents that were doing them come forward to May. I have a feeling they needed to catch up, so they did. We'll be that much wiser in the morning.

As for us, we are much "lighter" at the workload, so we should breeze through once it starts.  :jest::jest::jest:

Just wishful thinking,

up till now now winter months usually had lower processing periods. Well sad for them probably this year won't be as good.

However for june to august especially. You guys kind of ending up in that timeline. So I'm wishing this will effect your process and end up times to get lower. Also the numbers of your case count is lower!

But his may also end up as April may and maybe June to be the longest waiting of them all!

in my heart seriously guys get out of noa2 talk and start calling nvc (again this is my dream)
