Yes the main thing is  to look at the case received numbers for us. Don't think about the others much. Approved this early are most likely expedite cases.

Add c.110 to that June number for DOB and name updates, RFEs. Etc

now started the July cases. I really want a list of a few months to see the flow. Cause Juners you'll be with your loved ones soon (all possible fingers crossed) and we'll still be scanning 😂

could it be that they are processed in different centers and some are quicker than others?

I am not sure off hand. There have been a lot of changes since May but I’m not sure if the switch to California happened then or earlier.

I was browsing around and found the filing date for the approvals from June.

It really seems very random so no idea if it was expedited cases or how they picked them randomly:

02.06. WAC1790350125
12.06. WAC1790359904
14.06. WAC1790362614
26.06. WAC1790375402
28.06. WAC1790378466
29.06. WAC1790379325
30.06. WAC1790380933

Oh 3 of those cases are expedite. The rest seems on normal process. Uggghhh How could that be? 😦😞

Sure you all monitor the May thread too, but I wrote it wrongfully there, so here goes again:

Fairly sure all those approved June cases are expedited. Is it actually possible to see them marked as expedite @Joyax30?

Also, as mentioned already in the May Thread a few days ago, it would be interesting how many April petitions they have done at which point / are still doing right now, to actually see if they are mostly only working May petitions at this point, and if not not, how many from April are left in need of processing before they get to May only and eventually us June filers.

I hope they start early June soon :( Good luck to everyone!

When they first started May, they still were doing mainly April and some march as well. And from what I'm seeing they are still doing some, not as much April cases. That's also the reason they leave web sites processing times at April 1. Because they still have a considerable amount in April ( this is a guess after checking most of them, but still a guess)

I believe once they reach the last week of May, you'll start seeing June cases move. However, they are barely at the mid May cases 😐

I believe 4 months is not considered normal process at the moment... sometimes they apply later in the game because of health issues or humanitarian cases. Some late expedites may have just applied later.

Normal right now is 5 to 6 months.  Last year at this time it was 39 days.

Thank you for your scan. I am an August filer and since then I followed threads from May to August to see and read updates. I hope you'll post a scan for August filers, too. Please keep us updated as waiting for the NOA2 is really frustrating and drains the patience tank. Threads like this keep us sane and hopeful.

I briefly worked in mass case-handling (different field, but similar idea). Each employee would be randomly allocated cases on a weekly basis from the batch received that week - this resulted in every handler having a caseload which was representative of the whole (i.e. with the full range of dates).

We would process our individual batch chronologically, but given that some employees were faster than others - depending on experience or working hours - the overall "order" that the cases were being processed in would appear jumbled to anybody on the outside. I don't know how USCIS processes their cases, and I imagine someone has already addressed this issue in more detail and with more accuracy, but that's what I've assumed (thus far) is responsible for the ostensibly haphazard approval order. Is anybody in possession of more info?

Also, it was pretty easy on our system to accidentally review a case received much more recently - for example, if the received date had been inputted or formatted incorrectly, or just by handler or system error. Whilst some/most of these approved June cases were probably expedited, if we're talking about >4000 numbers, it would be quite possible that a tiny minority of recent applications were reviewed by mistake (or began to be reviewed before the staff member realised their error - but at that point, continued anyway for expediency).

Anyway, drawing from my limited experience, that's how I've been making sense of it so far. This theory works even if there is a high element of automation in their processing (which, looking at their numbers, there surely must be!). Any other explanations been floating about?
