Copy of marriage certificate with I-485

I live in Florida too.

Marriage certificates are expensive here. We paid $ 93.50.

I know in NY (well, 10 years ago) they were only $25. I can't imagine that the price has more than at least doubled...right?

In Colonie, Albany County, where my parents got married, the price is 40.00 according to their website.

I'd rather get married at Clearwater Beach than in dreary NY though ^.^

I get a few certified copies from the courthouse and file one with my AOS.

I sent them in a certified copy. I wouldn't send just a copy of a certified copy (thats a tongue twister), perhaps it would be wise to get another certified copy from the court house.

A photocopy is fine, just like all the other evidence you submit with I-485. USCIS does not require originals of anything until you go to your interview.

Save yourself $5 on the extra certified copy, and get a beer instead.

"USCIS no longer routinely requires submission of original documents or "certified copies." Instead, ordinary legible photocopies of such documents (including naturalization certificates and alien registration cards) will be acceptable for initial filing and approval of petitions and applications."

But I will send my certified copy I just want to have my AOS the best I can, and just think about life here and not just papers.
