The physical letter states that the case is approved and that I will get my EAD card in a separate mail.

 

I called USCIS today. The officer was not concerned at all. In fact she stated that it can take up to 60 days to receive the card and at this point she is not even sure if the card has gone for production yet. She said when the card goes for production, status will change and also when they will mail it out, the status will change. At the same time, she told me not to rely on online status because sometimes it does not change at all. She said to wait until 12 Nov  and if I don't get it, I can open service request to find out the status of the card. However until December 12 I am still within the timeframe.

I also mentioned to her about how some people with similar timeline got it on the same day or within a week. To that, she said well we say 60 days but can vary case to case.

 

My EAD status changed "Card is being produced" on the 119th day., I received card together with approval letters 6 days after that. I noticed approval letters were mail from NBC but card was mailed from Kentucky. After one day received it, the status updated "Card was mailed to me" on the day they started sending the card.

Thank you! My status was changed online. I was going to call them today about my case status because my case status changed on  Aug 3rd saying my case was ready to be scheduled for an interview and then on October 17 it said the same thing again (I hadn't checked my case status in weeks and upon checking it yesterday I saw that new notification ) which was weird because it was already waiting for the interview to be scheduled.it changed again this morning to interview scheduled

Posting my updated timeline, petition for my parents.

 

Forms Filed:

I-765, Application for Employment Authorization 

I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

I-130, Petition for Alien Relative

 

June 16th - Package sent

June 22nd - Notice of receipt

July 30th - Biometrics appt scheduled notice

August 5th - Biometrics appt letter received

August 21st- Biometrics appt

September 18th - Raised SRE

 

Mom's case

September 18th - Case Updated I-485 Notice of Interview scheduled to register for permanent residence or adjustment of status, a letter will be mailed.

September 25th - I-765 EAD was approved, will mail letter of approval

September 27th - I-765 EAD card in production

September 28th - Received I-765 approval letter in the mail

October 4th - Received EAD in the mail

 

Dad's case

October 18th - Case Updated I-485 Notice of Interview scheduled to register for permanent residence or adjustment of status, a letter will be mailed.

November 2nd - New card is being produced (Yes it skipped over I-765 EAD approval letter status update)

 

I will keep everyone updated, not sure how many are petitioning for parents here, but wanted to share in case anyone has any questions. I am petitioning on AOS basis.

The card is sent priority mail. I signed up for informed delivery and it let me know there was a package being sent to my house from
USCIS- Lees Summit Production Facility.

 

The EAD will have a tracking number because of priority mail. So if you can't get informed delivery I would call and see if you can at least get the tracking number for the EAD to see if it is on its way or been delivered somewhere else. That would maybe help you figure out EAD card mystery.

Well the card has still not been delivered and they didn't have the tracking number either. She was not opening SR to see what is going on either until November 12. However she also mentioned they will not expedite it because the case has already been approved. So basically in the end, if I don't get my card by December 12, then there is a problem at which point they will expedite it and see what's taking so long for the card. The card is valid from October this year until next year. What is the point of having validity from October when I won't even receive my card for a while.😡

WOW, no EAD yet? Do you think that all your application was affected by the RFE? If so you'll probably only get your EAD around the time that September fillers will...I'm so sorry for this!

@Kriss03 if you file AOS/EAD and AP it is very likely that due to our RFE things have stopped processing since USCIS needs to run verification on your case. They would resume your case once the RFE response is delivered to them. It is complicated.
