You still have time to do your I-693.  Hoping your Civil Surgeon won't take too long to complete it.  I submitted my application without it.

Good luck!  Everything will work out in the end.

Yeah I do have time, I just don't want to spend $150-250 on a medical I don't need. I filed within a year and have all vaccinations. Sigh

Thanks for the kind words :)

guys may i ask another question please?

when you sent in your AOS applications, did you include a form i-130a? My husband found it in the instructions but this is the first time I have heard of it.

thanks!

Yes, I was told to include a I-130a. :-)

Yes, send it in along with the I-130

She’s adjusting from a K-1 Visa. I-130 and I-130a are not relevant to adjust at that point. She just needs to submit a copy of her K-1 approval along with her AOS application, that’s it.

Yeah I wrote to and emailed my senator on Tuesday, still waiting for a reply.

I also spoke to a tier 2 who put in a request for the officer interviewing me to review the RFE.

And I have an infopass appointment on tuesday

Dear, when I was looking for a location to do my medical I also tried to find coupon and my exam went from $325.00 to $250.00 with the use of a $75.00 coupon....whatever is the place you choose to go with try to find coupons online and also call around 3 places to have the best price.

Happy Friday everyone,

My wife received two I-797 notices (NOTICE OF ACTION) today. My heart literally jump immediately i saw the letters in the mailbox (i know i'm dramatic). After a few deep breaths i opened the letter and it was a notice of approval for my wife's EAD and AP. :)

Approved 10/02/2017 and they are both valid for a year.

I want to point out my online status did not change. This confirms what a lot of you guys have said about the online status not being up to date.

if you're reading this there's good news coming your way. I would also suggest you contact USCIS if your case is outside normal processing time. https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.do

06/19/2017 - Mailed I-130 (G-1145, I-130A) & I-485 (G-1145, G-325A, I-864, I-765, I-131, I-693)

06/21/2017 - Delivered Chicago Lockbox

06/28/2017 - USCIS Cashed check

06/29/2017 - I-130, I-485, I-765 & I-131 Received notification via text and email

07/08/2017 -  Received I-797C in the mail for ASC Appointment Notice (Biometric) scheduled for 07/18/2017 1pm

07/26/2017 - Got a notification online saying "we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCxxx, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice

10/06/2017 - Received EAD & AP Approval letter *approval date 10/02/2017*

Congrats! I also received a letter for approval for my I-797 but no physical EAD card in the mail yet. I hope it comes soon. There was no update on my online status either.

Hello all,

Today, I received my resident card in the mailbox,

USPS priority mail. just like the work permit mail standard.

It was a surprise for me, because my online status stays "new card is being produced" even I received my card today.

But I checked again the other members timelines that similar with me, and I found out that some of them already received their cards yesterday, so I suppose, even not sure at that time, that I might have slice chance to receive my card today.

Plus, my work permit, produced in Friday, and arrived in the mailbox next Saturday, which is the totally same length of my resident card.

So, if you really want to estimate your timelines, use the immigration timelines on this forum, it turns out to be very helpful during my whole AOS journey, and I successfully estimate the work permit and also the resident card. The online updates can be accurate in most of times, but also can be tardive or even stuck somewhere, so check it, but do not totally rely on it.

Again, thank you for all and let's share our journeys to help each others, the more we share, the smother the journey will be.

Good luck to all!!!

I received my resident card today and the online status saying still "card is being produced".

Maybe there are so many updates everyday and sometimes it could be possible to be stuck somewhere.

But after I received my i-797, I received my resident card 2 business days later.

So be hopeful. and good luck!

Your senator should be able to help your process go faster. It's a bummer that they're making you redo the medical exam (which is so expensive) and such a short timeframe.

I hope it all works out in the end for you! Sending good vibes your way and hoping that your case gets resolved very soon!

Just an update with things on our end. Applied for a new SSN (never had one) on 9/29 and received my SSN card in the mail yesterday! It was a little faster than I expected since they told me I had to wait 2 weeks. I also found out that I was verified the same day I applied so I'm guessing there's no need to wait for 10 days to be on the system.

Spent the entired night applying for jobs! Haha. Busy week since our interview is also this week!
