Hi guys! I just want to share my experience with EAD card. Online status changed to "card was mailed" on September 21, and to this date I haven't received any card yet. I didn't get a tracking number right away maybe that was my mistake but I thought to give them a week to deliver the card. Anyways, I called today and after waiting for a call back for more than an hour I speak to tier 2 to get a tracking number and after checking on USPS online tracking it says card was delivered on Saturday September 23, but on that day I remember just getting 2 NOA one for I-765 and one for I-131 nothing else. So what they did was raise a SR saying that my EAD was never delivered but they told me that I need to wait 15 days to get a call back and worse case I have to apply for EAD again!!!

I'm so frustrated!!! I was so happy after more than 100 days wait to get my EAD and now I don't know what will happen or if I will ever get it. Right now I'm just on hold with USPS on the phone.. I just hope they find it somewhere or decide to send me a new one soon and I don't have to apply for EAD again:unsure:

Did you move at any point through out your application? Some people receive their cards at their old addresses as a mistake even though they changed their address with USCIS.

You can also try to contact your local USPS office. Tell them you were expecting an important mail to arrive and even though your tracking says delivered, you have not received it. You have the tracking number. They should be able to tell what went wrong.

Good luck! I hope it gets resolved soon.

I feel your disappointment!  Call USPS give them your tracking number they should be able to tell you where it was delivered or if they still have it in their possession. I pray and hope that its sorted out very soon.

No, my address was the same since the beginning of the process. USPS never put me on the phone with anyone when I was on wait for more than an hour they just hang up the phone. But I'm trying other numbers. It's all so frustrating!  😩 What I don't want to do is apply for it again and have to pay I-765 and I-131 fee this time.  Thank you! I hope so too.  I'll post again when I figure this thing out.

Thank you! I hope so too:unsure: Yes I'm working on it. You can imagine how happy I was thinking card was on it's way and they lost it or who knows what happened to it. I just don't understand why they can't send another one and need me to apply again if they don't find it :(

That is frustrating. You can also try going to your local USPS office since they're most likely the ones who deliver out your mail.

You won't have to pay for another I-765 and I-131 application since you are still pending AOS. If you do need to apply once again, attach your AOS receipt with your application so they know to waive the application fee.

There is a date  when you get an online update that your card is getting mailed about calling if you have not received your card by the said date. It's usually a month after the "card mailed" date. You can try calling again to tell them you have not received your card if your problem has not been resolved by the date indicated. They should be able to issue you a new one in my opinion.

I'm sorry this happened to you. I hope this gets resolved quickly.

This just saddens me - also call USCIS again just to confirm whether or not u have to put in another application - because sometimes different officers give different infor.  -  but if they say apply again just do that asap - and in the meantime see if by any chance it is still at the P.O.:(

Hi guys! I'm sorry about the delayed post with all of this information but I think its actually good because I just got out of the phone with USCIS and by the end of the call I was LOL at the phone and the customer representative was amused by my reaction to his answers...

First of all, I got my EAD Saturday (YAY), but even with all the documents that I sent my "country of birth" came described as "Unknown" (they had copies of my 2 Brazilian passports, American Visa and Birth Certificate)...I wasn't sure if it would be a problem and the agent told me that he can't tell me if it would be a problem for me to get a Social Security Number with this error or if it would be a problem for me to come back to the country in case I leave using my AP he said that I have to contact the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to see if they will let me in with this error or not and also to contact  SSA to get to know about the SS#...by then I was already feeling funny and I asked him what would be the procedure to get a replacement card, if I could mail this one and get another one right away and proceeded to advise me to get a pen and take note of what I needed, when he started to say it I started to laugh because he was basically telling me to file for a new EAD and that USCIS was going to be the one to determine if I had to pay the fee or not, even with my AOS.

If my husband leave the hospital, I'm going to SSA tomorrow and will try to get this thing done with the card the way it is...if it's not good I'm basically restarting my EAD process...what a shame!

@Lili08 I'm so sorry for the situation with your card...I was really hoping it wouldn't happen with any June filler...hopefully you can find it at your local USPS.

@niknik @Texasfiler @GabiMatch

Thanks guys! I talked to the local post office they said that the letter was scanned when it was delivered in another house of my street... They're going to reach the mailman that was working that day and try to retrieve the card and call me back. I just think USCIS should make an option for us to be able to pick up our EAD somewhere if we want to because it's an important document. I'm glad that no one else from June had this issue. My card was sent on September 21st and delivered Septemer 23rd. So it only takes like 2 -3 days to get delivered. Anyone who's waiting on EAD to be delivered and it takes more than 3 days just call USCIS and post office ASAP!

Bummer! But on the brighter side of things, you've been pretty much approved! Congratulations. Get your medical done as soon as possible and submit it. I doubt that it would actually take that long for them to process and clear up your medical. Let's hope for the best!

Yeah, I double checked with her at the end to see if I am basically approved and she said 'yes in fact I'll write on the front of your file my recommendation for approval to try and speed things up'. Good news and bad news.

She also said if I get my AP I shouldn't really leave the US because that is only for people with cases 'pending', I guess mine is not really pending - just not approved either!
