Oh dear thank you, yes he is doing okay...he hurt himself pretty badly right after the Hurricane wile stacking the hurricane metal shutters in the garage after removing them, he had a surgery because of a internal bleeding in his leg and it didn't healed (don't know if I'm spelling it correctly) properly...so after 2 weeks he had to go trough another surgery to clean the area and remove some necrosis, it's been quite exhausting for me because we have a 4 months puppy (Harry boy ) so I have to came home and go back to the hospital 4 times a day...but you know what? I'm just so glad to be close to my man and to be able to take care of him...I would probably be crazy by now if I was in Brazil far away from him...he is going to be fine for sure!

Guys I'm nervous here when I should be jumping up and down (I was 5 minutes ago)...the good news is I just got my EAD (yay!!!) The bad news (i'm not sure if it's bad or not) is that first of all my "Country of birth" says "Unknown" :o and instead of the card # that is in the letter that it came with "card#" says "MSC179140XXXX" and thats my receipt # for my EAD application  is this suppose to be like that? Will I have to send it back? I'm so nervous now!!! -_-

Please, all of you that got EAD take a look at your card and let me know if I have any reason to be nervous at all.

Thank you guys in advance!!!

I filed my AOS on the 2nd of june and got a reply on the 5th of June. Did my biometrics on the 29th of June. Still awaiting my work permit.

I got an RFE for my i485 August 5th. Responded to it 1st of September. Still yet to get work permit. Up till now. The last day to make it 75 days for me to get my EAD, that was when I received the RFE. It was like it stopped all my other application. Anyone ever experienced such please respond I am tired!

Was it a Request For Evidence or a Request For Initial Evidence? I have read that the (apparently very loosely enforced) 90 day deadline for acting on your EAD (assuming it was based on the c(9) category) restarts upon receipt of your response to a Request for "Initial" Evidence, but it is only tolled (paused) during an outstanding Request For Evidence. So if it was "Initial", then I think you are probably at day 28 or so... (I subtracted 3 days for mailing). Otherwise you are probably at around 103 and should definitely make a service request if you have not already.

A RFE for the I-485 would stop all your other applications because they are all based on the I-485...

Hi all,

I had my interview this morning. I've been recommended for approval. But I had an issue. My medical in London wasn't filled out properly and I have to have a new medical done here by a USCIS approved civil surgeon. She said this could delay my application by 30-90 days.

I'm really bummed out :(The same thing basically happened to me at the US Embassy interview. I expected my k-1 to be approved but they lost my medical and I had to go to Knightsbridge for a second medical. I can't believe it's repeated itself. I don't even have any medical issues.

My wife was doing her best to cheer me up but it's annoying we went in expecting to be finished with the process, but now there's more waiting (and money).

I might post a proper review when I'm in a better mood but the interview was perfect and interviewer was friendly.

Bummer! But on the brighter side of things, you've been pretty much approved! Congratulations. Get your medical done as soon as possible and submit it. I doubt that it would actually take that long for them to process and clear up your medical. Let's hope for the best!
