It arrived today via USPS! Finally things will get a little easier for us from now on. Its been a long wait since I129F, although not as long like most people here who haven't received any news yet. But things will get processed soon everyone, just be a little more patient.

I was on same boat as you when our interview was scheduled. We were both nervous thinking it was because immigration thought our case was weak and that we need to submit more evidence in person! Lol. Not at all.

I learned that all AOS applicants should be interviewed unless waived. The interview enables USCIS to obtain info on the applicant and determine if applicant met the requirements. Its to verify if the applicant understood the questions on the application and provides them the opportunity to revise answers if completed incorrectly. Its standard procedure.

My husband just got asked the security clearance questions again straight from the application. We weren't requested to submit any additional evidence of relationship or asked any dates on how we met and got married. IO only told me that I qualified as his financial sponsor then directed the questions to my husband on national security. It was really painless and we were approved on the spot!

Congrats! That's awesome. Your timeline is unbelievably fast -  that's incredible without being expedited. Your service center must be among the fastest in the country I expect.

Yeah I wish I just had some kind of update. Have you had an interview letter/waiver or anything? Or has your case status updated?

My apartment overlooks the carpark so I can see the postman arrive each morning - at least I know when he's been

I did biometrics in July and after that my status on I-485 changed to "Case ready to be sheduled for an interview" and it's been like that for 42 days, the other applications are "Case was received" since the beginning, no change

Really I thought after I sent the package I could just relax untill I got EAD but I was wrong!  I also can't wait to start working and get my driver's license here in the US so my husband doesn't have to drive me everywhere :)

Oh right cool, how soon after your biometrics did that change? I did mine in July too. Mine is still on fingerprint fee was received <_< hasn't changed since the cases were created.

I honestly didn't see my EAD taking more than 2 months but I guess that was wishful thinking. If only they let people with pending EADs work for USCIS, we'd soon get the work done

63 days for me :( haven't even had my biometrics yet. Here is my timeline:

27/06/2017 - Accepted fingerprint fee for I-485 and also received 3 NOAs a week later.

18/07/2017 - Request for initial evidence for Form I-485 (I had already sent these documents but I am assuming that they lost them somewhere)

07/08/2017 - Response received by USCIS and that NBC is working on my case

18/08/2017 - Status changed to"Notice was returned to USCIS because the Post Office Could not Deliver It"

Requested to resend the notice online and got a response which didn't really make any sense. Called and spoke to an officer directly. She was very nice and told me to wait 30 days and if I don't get the notice in 30 days, to call back.

Wondering what kind of notice it could be. Biometrics? Approval? or more info requested? I have been checking my mail every day and its frustrating.

Ha well I'd like to work there just so I understand what takes them so long. So many cases untouched for months on end...

Would you rather have an interview or have it waived? I've heard an interview makes the process faster.
