Hey everyone, I was hoping to get some advice on my case! Here is my timeline so far:

Adjustment of Status
Event Date
CIS Office : San Antonio TX
Date Filed : 2016-01-21
NOA Date : 2016-01-25
RFE(s) : 2016-03-05
Bio. Appt. : 2017-05-04

So its been 536 days since we initially filed our paperwork for AOS from a K1 visa  on Jan 21, 2016 and we are over the average processing times, yet no one seems to be able to help us. I have tried talking with our state rep, our ombudsman, called USCIS on the phone multiple times, and have filed multiple online case inquiries,  and when we went down to the USCIS service center for biometrics no one would tell us anything either. I am at a loss as to why our case is taking so long and why no one will help us. On our case inquires, the few times that they have responded all they have said is "due to work factors unrelated to your case, expect a delay" and then there was one that said if you haven't heard anything in 90 days please contact us, but still nothing. Not only that, but it took 16 months to even receive a biometrics appointment.

He came on a K-1 visa from the United Kingdom and I even have a co sponsor, I am in San Antonio, Tx. If there is any advice y'all can give me or anything that will help please write me.

wow i'm sorry to hear that! 16 months to receive a biometrics appointment. What was your RFE for? Maybe that's why it took forever. i think after biometrics everything will speed up, maybe you just need to wait one more month.

I hope you're right!! The RFE was because they wanted more paperwork from our Co-sponsor!

Why don't you try contacting your senator, I am sure is not under normal circumstances so they might be able to help out.

How long after biometrics does one know when their interview is ? Is there a time line ?

I would say between 2 weeks to 4 weeks you get a status update that your case is ready to be scheduled for interview. In my case it's been 16 days since Biometrics.

Update:

06/22 Packet sent to Chicago lockbox (52 pages!)

06/23 Packet picked up and signed for

06/27 Cheque cashed

06/27 3x emails/texts received at 11:55 pm saying cases for 485, 765, and 131 are processing

07/01 3x I-797 Notices of Action received via USPS

07/08 Biometrics appointment notice received (scheduled 07/21)

Due to very mixed reviews on the Hartford USCIS ASC, we most likely won't try a walk-in for biometrics e.g. most recent one here http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cty=Hartford CT

G'AM All,

We filed on 6/26 & package was delivered to Chicago on 6/27.

I am beginning to get worried as we haven't received any email or text notifications of receipt and our check has yet to be cashed.

This doesn't seem like a normal process?...any insight to figuring out how to track down our package is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I think it all depends on the case load and processing times of the local office. I was reviewing the AOS timelines for my local office and takes nearly a year for a green card.

Well I'm not sure if our case was even transferred to our local office. NOA paper receipt stated it went to NBC (National Benefit Center) which is formally known as Missouri Service Center. I'm from WA and I haven't received a transfer notice not sure about other people.
