Hi Filers! My husband and I just got married June 24, 2017 (Yay!) on the K1 visa and now we focusing on putting our AOS packet together. (We had the older I-485 form ready to go but now revising our packets) Blahhh.

My question is regarding the Application for Travel Document I-131. When we looked at it, it appeared that you need to have a trip already planned to file this form. We were going to file it so we could travel but don't have any set plans yet/won't be making any until he is allowed to work. Can we still file the document in case a trip comes up? Or should we wait until we have a trip planned to file it? Thanks - Ashley

I did not send my I-693 form as well. I only received a Notice to Applicant, not a RFE. My I-485 case still says "fingerprint fee received." No update since then.

We didn't submit an I 693 form and my husband didn't receive a DS 3025 when he went for his medical. I've been researching other threads and it seems like the original DS 3025 was included in the sealed envelope that was handed over at the Point of Entry. He had his medical in January and we included photocopies of his vaccination booklet.

He should also  been given a beneficiary copy of DS 3025 at his medical visit. My husband was given an signed but uncompleted copy of his vaccines. He was told that a K1 Visa the vaccines are not required at point of entry, but required later at AOS. So the  docter didn't complete the form and was given to him incomplete. We had to do form I693 and had a new medical surgeon in the USA complete the VACCINATIONS section ONLY. He was given another sealed envelope to prevent tampering or altering for USCIS, and  he was also given a beneficiary copy for our records.
