Finished our biometrics appointment today! Our appointment was at 9:00AM but it was a good thing that our ASC was just 20 minutes away from home. Overall, the biometrics was quick! We arrived at 8:30AM and left even before our appointment. (:

When we arrived, we were asked to fill our form with some simple questions. Name, date of birth, hair and eye color, etc. Then we were given a number. The actual "biometrics" was quick. Ten fingerprints and a picture and we were good to go!

Awesome!! Im glad everything went fast for you too. Now let's keep an eye on that email for a fast approval 🙌 😁

I did my Biometrics yeaterday and is day 28th since my PD, I wonder how long will it take to get an update at the USCIS website.

I live in Texas and just found out that an acceptable document to get a driver license is a 797C indicating a pending I-485 pending application.

Thank you, however driver license policies are different on every state. At least in this state is valid, unfortunately people who work there they don't seem to know what an acceptable document is, so we need to go prepared  with all necessary documentation.

That's true (and that's also the reason that I said I didn't know about Texas), the woman was a little confused when I got there and actually had to ask for help with her supervisor before starting to put everything in the computer, I think it is understandable since they don't get this kind of case every day, and I actually bluffed when she realized that I filled for AOS after my I-94 was expired, I said that my lawyer said that I'm not considered "illegal" until 180 days after my I-94 expired (I think that might even be true), she got back to a piece of paper that she was using to do the procedure, showed it to her friend and said that it was okay and that she just had to make sure.

My sisters friend also got a drivers license in Maryland in the same situation that I'm.

I think it all depends on the state that you are in and the person behind the counter of course.

Best of lucky for you! 😊

Quick question for those who already got the appointment letter...did you guys see any update on your case status on USCIS website before getting the appointment letter? I was thinking if they would update the status as "biometrics appointment sent" or something like that...It's been a week since the texts and I didn't get anything...last update was 06/19!

How do I know if my case was transferred to the office near me?

Thank you in advance!
