I am in the same boat, I called USCIS just now and they raised a service request for not receiving biometrics yet.

We called USCIS 1-800-375-5283 number and it took me multiple attempts to speak to a person. The IVR digits to reach a person are 1, 2, 2 ,...

OK so finally I got my biometrics appointment!!!!!!  I'm beyond excited it's for June 21st yayyy for me 

 

Hopefully you all will get yours pretty soon.

I received the biometrics letter today for the 23rd. I am going to try to walk-in this Monday.

So I hadn't checked my mailbox in a few days because the only letter I was waiting for didn't appear in the USPS Informed Delivery Daily Digest.

 

Turns out my biometric letter had in fact arrived along with a separate notification that the discrepancy (A# typographical error on I-751) was corrected

 

Looks like their starting to filter through for us May VSC filers.

Awesome this would be a good news for May VSC filers, I guess it triggers when some of you guys called them to follow-up. Please update the excel sheet guys thanks!

So now let's cross our fingers and hope that we don't get RFE's!

Even though I'm very happy about receiving my biometrics appointment, I'm also a little sad to know that we have a 12 month wait to get approved so we won't have a lot to talk about here! Just wait

I walked-in to the nearest ASC center and completed my biometrics today. The whole process took about 30 minutes and no questions asked about the early walk-in. 

 

I showed my GC and the biometrics letter and they gave me a form to fill about my height, weight, name, etc and an acknowledgement to sign. Once I completed that, they gave me a token number along with the stamped and dated biometrics letter. When the number was called, I walked to the booth, handed the paperwork and all my fingers were fingerprinted and my photo taken.  The stamped and dated biometric letter was returned to me.

 

I also went to the DMV to renew my license, the license was extended for another one year from the date of GC expiration. I have the temp license now and the new license will come in mail. 

The DMV required the I-797 NOA and the GC to renew the license. Once the 10 year GC comes, I will have to pay the DMV another visit and repeat the process.

I received my receipt letter 05/22/17 with receipt date 05/17/2017.

 

Does anyone know what the average time is currently to receive the bio-metric letter? 

 

Once the bio-metric letter is issued will I be able to see that updated on the USCIS website with my receipt #? 

 

Just making sure I don't miss it because I moved this month and have updated my address online with USCIS.

 

Is anyone getting case updates from USCIS website; per their website is it correct that VSC is currently working on 2016 filers?

The excel sheet tracks all relevant timelines. Please exercise caution in editing the excel sheet so that you dont affect other records. Thanks. 

 

The CRI-89 number which will be available in your biometrics letter is used for tracking the case online. So yes once you receive the biometrics letter, you can start tracking online. 

This process seems to take somewhere between 1 year and 1.5 years, VSC should fall within that range, hopefully.
