There are some VSC March and April 2017 filers still dont have biometrics letter appointment. I just checked on their group. I wonder why VSC have inconsistency when sending the biometrics letter.

March and April filers?! oh my!  How is this possible?!

 

Edit: Looks like it's taking 6 weeks from filing at VSC to get a biometrics appointment letter. Does this add time for us for approval?

Did any May 2017 VSC filer call uscis to check on biometric letter ?

@wanderer84 I believe you should start calling them because your timeline is earlier than us.

I received the NOA1 on May 20th, so you and I have the exact same timeline. Have you called them yet ?

just for those still waiting for biometrics appointment letter, specially for more than 30 days. Does anyone here has an USCIS ELIS account? Kindly login to check if there's available biometrics schedule posted on your USCIS ELIS account. 

 

How will I be notified to schedule the biometrics appointment?

Your biometric services appointment notice will be available in your USCIS ELIS online account under the Recent Notices section. If you have signed up for case status updates, via email or text, you will receive a message that your case has been updated.

If you do not receive your biometric services appointment notice within 30 days of filing your application, please contact the Customer Contact Center at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/contactus to request assistance.

We called USCIS 1-800-375-5283 number and it took me multiple attempts to speak to a person. The IVR digits to reach a person are 1, 2, 2 ,...

We spoke to a lady almost immediately. She was very friendly and polite. We gave her the NOA receipt number and she asked us when I received the NOA which was the 20th of May. 

 

She put us on hold for a minute and got back saying everything looks good and that we need to wait for 30 days to receive the Biometrics letter from the day of receiving the NOA and if the biometrics letter is not received by June 20th, she asked us to call back. 

 

I am not sure how USCIS will know when I received the NOA because that delivery depends on USPS. I wish I had asked her that, but I forgot.

It should be based off of the date of the NOA, not the receipt via mail. Sheesh!

Hello hello everyone,

5/23 VSC ROC filer here. Just updated the google doc with my info. 

Now we wait

A little deja-vu from Summer 2014 when I was frantically waiting for my now husband's I-129F to be approved!!! Looks like we've got about 12-13 months until we get that 10 year GC in hand.

Anyone else thinking about naturalization next year?

I called USCIS because I haven't received the biometrics letter yet and its been 30days from the NOA receipt date.

The lady took all my information and filed a service request and gave me the service request confirmation number. 

 

She said usually the biometrics is sent within 30 days and this service request will notify the office and they will act on it within 30days.
