Heads up for those wishing to add their married surname to their Canadian passport....

I visited the local Passport Canada office today while I'm in town. The person handling my request told me that, as of June 2007, you will no longer be able to add your married surname to your current valid passport. In June you will need to order a whole new passport if you want it to reflect your married name.

Also, as an FYI.... you may only add your married name if your passport was issued in the same name as on your birth certificate. But you'd better hurry because you only have 6 weeks left!!
