Well, the big day came and went well! AOS was approved during the interview this morning and we should get the Green Card in the mail in a few weeks.

If you have to do an interview, Seattle was a good experience. The interviewer was courteous, asked relevant questions and had obviously given a good review of the documents provided. This was nice, especially after the CSC left such a bad taste in the initial stages.

The interview was on schedule, no long lines, clean waiting area, courteous guards and overall nice people.

Using the tips here on the site helped. We had more paperwork than needed (she commented on that) and also said that we'd done a great job of documenting everything. She didn't ask for any additional documentation or original documents (though we had them on hand just in case). Think she noticed the 3 large binders of tabbed documentation and figured we had everything she might ask for and more.

Big relief to finally be able to get a job, travel and get a driving permit ;)

Luck to all!! There are some good tips on this site and it's helped us a lot!

April 13/06 NOA1 from NSC

June 1/06 - Moved to CSC

August 12/06 APPROVED - NOA2!!

August 28/06 Left NVC. . . Vancouver Bound!

September 27/06 Interview APPROVED, with visa in hand

October 29/06 Moving Date

December 30/06 Married!!

AOS Journey:

January 16/07 Sent out AOS, EAD, and AP docs

January 23/07 NOA1's for AOS, EAD and AP

February 13/07 Biometrics in Portland, OR

April 7/07 EAD and AP Received

April 24/07 Interview Scheduled . . . and APPROVED, stamp and all!

May 7/07 Greencard is in my hands!

ROC Journey:

February 17/09 Sent I-751 to CSC

February 18/09 NOA1

March 14/09 Biometrics appt.

April 22/09 Date of Approval!!

June 25/09 Greencard arrives in the mail!

Guess it's all about the preparation ;) She actually asked (given our unique situation) some immigrations policy questions for another country. It was kinda fun actually.

She also said that even though we'd "blacked out" some areas on e-mails, that she was able to read them :devil: Ah well, it's all good!
