Timeline update as of 3/24/2006...

I-129F touched again yesterday! :thumbs: Hopefully the packet will be sent to the consulate very soon!

what is 797-C ? Is it necessary to file after I-130??

Also , how long does it take to get NOA for I-130 in Texas? Don't I have to wait for that before sending 129-F?

I am just starting all this :) and a little overwhelmed:)

07.28.2006 AOS fee paid and overnighted

07.29.06 NVC confirmed getting choice of agent

07.31.2006 Recieved actual AOS/DS 3032 bill via regular mail

07.31.2006 IV Bill generated

08.05.2006 IV bill recieved

08.11.2006 IV Bill Paid sent by mail

08.26.2006 Finally got Affidavit papers by mail

08.28.2006 Sent Affidavit by mail

The NOA1 (I-797/I-797C) is necessary to submit with the I-129F. You do not wait for approval of the I-130 before submitting the I-129F.

As the NOA1 is only acknowledging that they received it, you usually receive it within a couple of weeks at most.

You can also check the date of receipt they are now processing to get an idea of how long it is going to be till you can hopefully get an approvalhttp://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?autocom=custom&page=times It also depends on security checks as to length of time it takes.

I've got a quick question reguarding "timeline" information. Please can you tell me if the reciept date to input on the timeline is the "recieved" date or the "notice" date or the date you actually recieved the NOA1 in the mailbox of your home? LOL silly question ...thanks
