Barcode number for interview schedule

Hi I'm really sorry if this has been posted before, I have tried searching but can't get a recent thread.

I just scheduled my interview with the embassy in London.

When registering on the website to begin the process it asked if I had the consular letter and I ticked the box for that. It then asked for my case number and then "barcode number. #AA"

I was looking at my consular letter because it had just mentioned it and added my case number then the number at the top with the barcode beginning with an A which I think is my alien number. Then it sent me to a new website and asked for my DS-160 number and when I got that form out of my file, it had a barcode and begins with AA.

Now I am panicking that the first "barcode number" was actually requesting my DS-160 number not the alien number but then I thought if they wanted the DS-160 number why ask for "barcode number" when I am currently working off my consular letter that doesn't contain my DS-160 number but another number with a barcode and starting with an A!!!

I am not a dumb person but this K1 process has fried my brain at every step!!

On my my confirmation page it doesn't have either of these numbers so I am at a loss as to whether I've done it right or wrong. Can anyone help?

I'd call the embassy. I had similar confusion with the DS-160 when I filled it out as it basically just kept sending me in a loop.

I called first thing Monday morning and had a call back later that day at about 3pm and the issue was resolved. They're surprisingly helpful!

Thanks! I think I will call this morning. I'm just flummoxed as to why they wouldn't ask for the DS-160 number if that's what they wanted. It was clear on the second part of the process that they wanted the DS160 number for that part, but barcode number could be either of those numbers. I don't know!

Every confirmation page for DS-260 form has a barcode number starting with AA.

I know. This was the interview scheduling part. The confirmation of interview is not showing the two numbers I have entered, barcode number from my consular letter and DS160 number... which also has a barcode.

I called and was told they do not take calls and had to use the online contact form. Let's hope I get a response.

Yeah, what was more odd was she answered in an American accent then when I started talking asking who I needed to speak to, she suddenly went British! Still no response though so I'm getting a little worried.
