Name Spelled Incorrectly on the NOA2 for I-129F

Hello everyone,

 

I'm hoping someone has advice that they can give me.  Yesterday in the mail I received our NOA2 that has been approved.  On the notice they spelled my fiancée's first name incorrectly.  There is one letter missing.  Should I be concerned about this?  I checked out I-129F application that we submitted and the name is spelled correctly.  The notice says that the USCIS and completed all action and that further inquiries should be directed towards the NVC.  Are they who I should call now to clear this up?  I appreciate any advice that anyone has for me.  Thanks!

Call the customer service line but I'm sure this is something they can repair once it gets to the interview stage. 

 

As long as you sent off your fiancées ID they should realise there was a mistake

I didn't send in any official forms of ID for my fiancée in the I-129F petition since it wasn't required.  Do you believe it will still be a problem?  I plan on calling NVC tomorrow although I still don't have a case number.

In my case, our English translation of my wife's middle name (used consistently in all our K-1 documents) was missing one letter as determined by the US Embassy when the US Embassy actually issued the K-1 Visa.

 

So in my experience the US Embassy when issuing the K-1 Visa with your input will get her name correct (if you are not able to correct beforehand)

It just seems like a mistake on their end especially since all the paper work you filed had the correct spelling. 

 

If I was you I would call the US embassy who issued the visa or even the NVC customer services and just tell them your situation.

Thanks @Juniper and @Jordan8768.  I plan on calling the NVC tomorrow so that hopefully this doesn't mushroom into something bigger than it needs to be.  I always appreciate the input.  Thanks!
