Here we go with the man made global warming  (Or is it climate change now? First it was global cooling so it's hard to keep track.) cult who believes the big ball of fire in the sky called the sun has no effect on the climate. Al Gore is making a killing off you cult members with his carbon trading ponzi scheme. The Earth has had both hotter and colder cycles and will continue to after we are gone. Get over it.

Indeed, the world was cooling, and cycles over hundreds of thousands of years were showing this.  We were heading towards another ice age in 10,000 years.  Little dispute on this fact existed and little dispute on this fact exists today.  There is NO question on this.

The issue is that the Industrial Age changed this cooling trend and caused an abnormal spike in warming, bucking the natural cyclic cooling/warming trends.  And studies have shown that this unnatural anomaly is caused by human manufactured CO2 emissions.

But don't take anybody's word for it.  If you actually bother to study the research and data yourself, rather than allow yourself to be force fed the misinformation by our impressive corporate propaganda, you would see this for yourself.  Or you could just continue to victimize yourself.

I'd be happy to provide it here for your perusal if you wish to do the former.

You don't think the NRA, or the NEA have clout?  Neither of these are corporate lobby groups but they are certainly effective in their efforts.  I am in agreement, get the lobbying out of Washington and all the state capitals.  Btw, this is not a DNC vs GOP issue, both sides have extensive ties to lobbying groups, and both sides are fraught with bad actors.  This is why I think so many on both sides including the corporate media are so against Trump.  He was not an insider with extensive inside the beltway experience and quite honestly is a threat to their elite leadership positions or power.  Of course, like most Mr. Smith's, he may soon succumb to the insiders as well.

I agree on all of it except the comparison of Trump to Mr Smith.  He has done very little to assure he is the answer to corporate influence.

Has anyone given him the chance?  It was attack from the Left almost immediately after the election, and there hasn't been much support from the Right either.  The simple fact is that the results of our electoral system spoke, and we should give him a chance.  Instead we will get constant caterwauling about his not holding hands with Melania, or him bowing/stooping in front of the Saudi King.  Sure, Obama endured some of the same comments, but at least he had an ally in the biased press to support him.

Global warming -- been there, this is like the 3rd or 4th topic on this in the last week

Socialism is great to keep capitalism in check - nope, in fact, the more government authority they have over the economy, the more they clearly choose to make the rich richer and not help much of anyone else.. the left keep having this idealistic view of socialism working out in spite of reality that it never does, even the reality that occurs every time in the US where government has increasing control over the economy. What do they call trying the same thing over and over again expecting different results?

Universal healthcare - fantastic for countries that have this kind of relationship with their government, the US does not have that, for good reason.. you can't force it to work in the US, can't force Americans to suddenly love their government. If you really believe universal is that important, move to another country like I did. While universal wasn't the reason I moved to Canada (my wife is Canadian), its one of the main reasons. Political environment is another. At least the left in Canada can sometimes be reasoned with. The left in the US have gone completely off the deep end. The right, atm, are the ones seeming sane. Things were completely switched last decade. It's like a country that enjoys handing off every decade which side can be the dumbest.

He has the house, the Senate and now the deciding vote in the supreme court.  What is blocking his success? Just him and his Twitter feed.

Please do. And don't give me a bunch of doctored computer models and temperature readings from sensors that were intentionally placed by airport runways and air conditioner vents on buildings. By the way don't give me that corporate propaganda nonsense. Big oil loves the man made global warming hoax because it gives them a reason to jack up their prices.

Gladly.  Plenty here for you, with additional resources listed within the pages.

https://skepticalscience.com/evidence-for-global-warming.htm

I can summarize it all for you if you wish, but you're always better off examining it yourself rather than taking it for word from some random internet guy.  But some don't want to, so let me know.

Nothing in Washington happens quickly.  I think that is the biggest thing Trump is learning compared to the business world.  Obama had to learn that as well when he started and he also had both houses.

Unlike Trump, Obama had plenty of time to get anything done with a filibuster proof Congress.
