Hello members! I'm a newbie and I would like to know how long does it take for a K-1 visa to get approved? I am the beneficiary (from Thailand) and my fiance is living in the US. Thanks in advance for your comments!

Assuming you have no issues along the way around 6 months. Sometimes shorter sometimes longer.

Yes currently it is about 5-7 months from filing to interview, all going well.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Thanks for this! We need to at least have a time frame for when to do all the paperwork.

Also fill your timeline for an estimated approval date... But don't put all your hopes on it since sadly enough not everyone gets processed in the average time.

24 August 2017 (Thu): NVC received and case # assigned (provided through phone call 8/25)

29 August 2017 (Tue): NVC left

30 August 2017 (Wed): Consulate Received (READY at the ceac tracker)

01 September 2017 (Fri): Packet 3 (instructions) received / Packet 3 sent (documents mailed)
