Hello everyone,

I received RFE letter today by mail. I`m having really hard time understanding what they are actually requesting. In the letter marked red, "Additional evidence is required to establish the qualifying relationship. Submit your response to this request for evidence along with the attached blue sheet."

Is this part in all RFE letters that I should ignore or do I actually need to submit more evidence?

I have already submitted 3 passport style photos, with my application on FEB 14th. I`m not going to ask why they want photos again, I will just go ahead and send new photos, but how long does it normally it takes to get approval after submitting required documents?

Thank you for your respond Jordan8768,

No, I did not send any type of receipt.  I actually never thought they would need the receipt, but I will definitely send it this time.

Yes, I know that for sure, Passport photos I sent met with guidelines.

I`m actually not worried about sending new passport style photos, but the section I marked red on the picture. What evidence are they talking about? I'm so confused.

They likely only want the passport photos.

But you could try sending a summary of your relationship.

That statement is always there before they go on to list what is missing. The only thing listed is the photograph of you fulfilling the requirements.

That is what I thought as well, but I just wanted to confirm,

Since I also send the required passport style photo, anyhow they are asking me to send it again. And i thought they might be asking for some more evidence.

It's typical that they misplace documents while organizing the files, PP photos being a tiny ones are so vulnerable.

Just send PP photos again and you would be fine. Btw, no need to send the receipt of the photos, that's too much.

Yeah I had an actual passport rejected once for my passport photos being too dark that I had taken at a photo place advertising they do passport photos. They had looked fine to me!

Like Suss said, the only thing listed in your RFE letter is passport photos. Don't forget to place each photo in a smaller plastic bag and attach the bag to a sheet of paper, it's not a requirement but they won't get lost as easy. Also put the full name on the backside of the photos.

The other possibility is that the original passport photos got misplaced by USCIS as the file was moved around, so I would take Scandi's advice.

I got an RFE because I forgot to check one box on page 5. On my RFE, it also said "additional evidence is required to establish relationship'. After that sentence, it said. " please complete page 5 of this petition".   I checked box 5 and sent it off and was approved.

All they want is for you to submit your passport photos, in the format the require. Do not forget to write the name and date of photo on the back of the picture. That's all they are asking for. Do not send them anything else other than passport photos.
