Still waiting

     Hello guys. So my case got denied a few months ago under section 212(a)(6)(c)(I) and I just take a look at my passport and I see a sticker that said "AP" on it. What does it mean? Does it mean that my case is under AP?

Hi, Im not sure of your situation but it is my understanding that AP stands for "Advance Parole" which would make sense given that your case was denied for "Fraud or Willful Misrepresentation". I would recommend to see an immigration lawyer to see if you qualify for a waiver or if you can travel (if the AP stands for advance parole).

 

I know is not much help the one im giving you but is all I could do without pointing you in the wrong direction but I've seen posts with NO replies after being in the forum for months and wanted to put my 2 cents in...

Thanks you for your response. My dad has met immigration lawyer recently. He recommended us to send an email to USCIS. USCIS just emailed my dad that they're going to give us a result in 3-6months.

         Hello guys. My visa got denied under section 212(a)(6)(c)(I) back in October 2016. So it has been 8 months now and I haven't heard anything from USCIS yet. So how long do I have to wait? Do I have a chance of getting reapproved? Thanks

What exactly are you waiting for?

You most likely need a waiver. Have you done anything since the refusal? What did they tell you to wait for?

It can take a (long) while to get feedback from the USCIS/NVC. Seems like you got a refusal for either misrepresentation or fraud and is permanent barred. What did your paperwork say?

HEY if someone is permanently barred. Do u know how "permanent" it really is? Can a waiver be used some how thanks

Waivers can be used but waivers can be denied too.

They told us to wait for them to take a look at our case. My dad emailed them every month and they keep telling us to wait and wait and wait.

Paperwork said " based on a DHS finding of inadmissibility. If u believe this finding is eroenous, please contact DHS directly to request reconsideration". Do we have to need a waiver?

OP, I remember your case from a while back. Have you considered getting a lawyer at this point?

Yes he has. He hired a lawyer but I don't really know how lawyer works. He told us that we have a really slim chance of getting reapproved.

Well, that's.....not a good sign. Did the lawyer mention anything about a wavier?
