If you have any medical records it would be good to bring them to the medical, especially if you had any vaccines. For my fiance they did a physical assessment, vision test, collected blood and urine and did a chest x ray. They also ask about previous medical history. My fiance did his medical in Chennai, he brought his medical records, visa appointment form, Ds 160 form and I think 8 passport photos. I'm not sure if all medical sites require the same info so it's better to ask them what you need to bring. They gave his medical results the next day.

Thanks it is very helpful. Can we do the chest X-ray before or it needs to be done there only?

Do we need to tell them about previous surgeries if any had?

I have the vaccination records.

How much time gap was there between the medical n interview?

I think the chest x-ray might be included in the payment for the medical, so it's better to just do it there. Yeah the doctor asked my fiance regarding any previous surgeries or medical history. Thats good that you have your vaccine records, the doctor will look over it and if you need any required vaccines they will give it there. My fiance had the medical a few days ago and our interview is in two weeks.

Per the website it says k visas are exempt?

I was looking online and like you said it says k visas are exempt. Those who are approved for the spousal visa have to pay this fee. So I think they give this approval slip to both spousal and fiance visa applicants. So fiance visa applicants don't have to pay this fee.

We received a post on aug 28th from US consulate Mumbai saying your K1 visa is now ready for final processing. We got our I-797 and ceac status is ready. We went ahead and filled and submitted ds-160,  paid fees, obtained pcc (police clearance) and created an account on usatraveldocs. The problem begins here. We are unable to schedule an appointment. Whatever date we select we are getting no appointments available. Please press the back button and choose and new OFC appointment date. The first step is OFC scheduling and next is interview scheduling. OFS shows availability but interview page shows this message. If anyone has faced a similar issue or has got past this issue kindly suggest what course of action we should take? The call center has so far been useless :)..

Regrads,

Nacho

Hello Nacho... WE went thru the same thing..... and it could be very frustrating!!    U just have to check repeatedly.  We locked our account several times because we would check it so much!! Just keep trying... stop checking it when it says your at max attempts and just retry in the morning..IF NOT ur acct. will be locked for approx 3 days..

ONCE.......we had a choice of a date ,,, we just took it......then just rescheduled it to sooner dates of our liking.

Just heads up.......the appts are looking into the first week OF November...its jumping back and forth From November to Oct.. grab one when you can..

THE CALL Center is useless! DO what you can on travel docs..

We waited for 2 weeks to receive packet 4 from the Delhi embassy. I got tired of waiting (because we had already waited over a month for the NVC to receive the petition) so I emailed. At first I didn't hear anything, then I tried calling. Waste of time. I emailed again and this time I got an auto-response. We got an electronic version of packet 4 sent directly to me which I forwarded to my fiance. My suggestion is not to wait to receive the packet; just email the US travel docs help email address.

Who did you email to get the electronic version of packet 4?

@WhatAWait!  You email UStraveldocs website and ask them. Sometime they mail , sometimes they don't. Did you book your appointment ?

Hello,

I am trying to book my K1 visa interview in Mumbai but right now it only shows one day in May---that cannot be accurate. Anyone have any idea if dates are released in any particular pattern? Do you just keep checking?

Thank You

Hi AAAA27,

I am also trying to get a K-1 Visa appointment at Mumbai Embassy, unable to get one. USCIS approval is only until July 6, 2019. What other steps can I take to get an appointment slot? It is nerve racking when you are helpless.

Please suggest. Thanks.
