Is anyone else having issues checking the visa status on CEAC? When I press submit, the website keeps running and eventually nothing happens.

I think Amit's got really "slow" on CEAC after he was approved. Try this link, and use your passport number EXACTLY as it was entered on your DS-160.

Yeah I faced the same problem, it let’s you check only once in a day🤭😄 exactly the way ustraveldocs acted while we were looking for dates.

Yea you need packet 4. When you book for medical, they’ll ask for appointment letter. I emailed them once my status changed to “Ready” and they sent me packet 4 via email. It also came by post two weeks later but you can start consolidating documents as per the check list. It’s same for everyone.

@Riya can we get PCC without packet 4?

Hello guys,

Is it necessary to make an insurance before I travel to US?

Hi friend, can you please share what the steps are after the case is ready? Consulate or ustravel gives generic info. Still haven’t received PAcket 4. Should I wait for PCC and medical until I receive embassy letter or there is no letter or how does Mumbai consulate work? Your help would be appreciated.

Hi Julie, I just read your review on the consulate. Thanks for sharing that. That was really helpful. Unfortunately my fiancé won’t be able to come to be with me cuz of work. Hopefully out of all these CO that are interviewing don’t have any doubt in mind about our relationship.

also, could you shed light on the process from case ready until visa interview? I’m still waiting on packet 4. What should I do regarding medical and PCC? How long did packet 4 take to be received? I have all these questions in mind.

Yes. I got mine before we got our NOA2.

If you're case is ready, then fill up the DS-160 on the ceac website. Once that is done pay at the us travel docs website and choose your interview date. Get your medical done and get all the paperwork ready. You may need to email US travel docs (I think) to get Packet 4 mailed to you faster.

And you can look up what is in Packet 4 at any time on the consulate website:
